Abstract

Bei der Erfindung handelt es sich um eine von Drehmomentübertragungselementen angetriebene, regelbare Kühlmittelpumpe für Verbrennungsmotore.
Der Erfindung liegt unter anderem die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine angetriebene, regelbare Kühlmittelpumpe für Verbrennungsmotore zu entwickeln die kühlmitteltemperaturabhängig exakt und sanft, stufenlos geregelt werden kann, dabei verschleißunanfällig und störunanfällig ist, und bei hohem Wirkungsgrad eine optimale, sehr exakt geregelte Anpassung des Kühlmittelvolumenstromes an die Wärmebilanz des Motors ermöglicht, dadurch die Warmlaufphase des Motors deutlich reduziert, die Schadstoffemissionen wie auch gleichzeitig die Reibungsverluste und den Kraftstoffverbrauch senkt.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe durch eine regelbare Kühlmittelpumpe mit einer in einem Pumpenlager (1) im Lagergehäuse (2) gelagerten, angetriebenen Pumpenwelle (3), einer den Lagerraum vom Pumpenraum abdichtenden Dichtung (4), vorzugsweise einer Gleitringdichtung, und einem frei drehbar auf einem Gleitlager der Pumpenwelle (3) angeordneten Pumpenrad (5) welches durch eine auf der Pumpenwelle (3) angeordnete Kupplung in Abhängigkeit von der Temperatur des Kühlmittels angetrieben wird gelöst, die sich dadurch auszeichnet, dass in dem Pumpenrad (5) ein mehrfach abgesetzter zylindrischer Innenraum mit Dichtbund/en (7) und diesem/diesen Dichtbund/en (7) benachbart, eine einer Innenverzahnung ähnliche Außenläuferkontur (8) angeordnet ist, wobei auf der Pumpenwelle (3) neben dem Gleitlager für das Pumpenrad (5) drehfest ein mit einem/zwei zylindrischen Lagerbund/en (9) und einem/zwei Dichtsteg/en (10) versehener Exzenter (11) angeordnet ist, auf dem drehbar ein mit einer Außenverzahnung versehener Innenläufer (12) angeordnet ist, der mit der Außenläuferkontur (8) im Pumpenrad (5) analog dem Wirkprinzip einer Gerotorpumpe als Kupplung zusammenzuwirken vermag.
