Definitions

• the invention relates to a publishing document having at least flat pages which are linked together like a book. Since 1455 when Gutenberg published his Bible, only flat-page books have been printed. These flat pages are flexible so that they can be turned, but they are intended to lie flat when the books are closed. However, books with flat pages, perfect for reading texts, have various drawbacks concerning illustrations. Thus, the cards that used to be pasted at the end of travel account books, had to be unfolded to be read, then folded down before the books could be replaced. Unfolding and folding ended up tearing the folds of the cards in the long run. The notebooks for maps or plans that are currently inserted in books are sewn at the same time as the other notebooks for text.
