Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kühlmittelpumpe (1), insbesondere für eine Brennkraftmaschine mit innerer Verbrennung, mit einem Spiralkanal (10), in dem ein Pumpenlaufrad (2) angeordnet ist, wobei der Spiralkanal (10) von einem Gehäusedeckel (12) und einer Rückwand begrenzt ist, mit einer an den Spiralkanal (10) anschließenden Elektronik-Kammer (13) zur Aufnahme einer Leistungselektronik und mit einem daran anschließenden Elektromotor (4), der über die Leistungselektronik angesteuert wird, zum Antrieb der Pumpe (1), wobei das Pumpenlaufrad (2) auf einer Antriebswelle (3) befestigt ist, die durch ein pumpenseitiges Lager (7) und ein motorseitiges Lager (8) gelagert ist, wobei die Rückwand des Spiralkanals (10) von einem Kühlblech (11) gebildet ist, das sich in Radialrichtung über das Pumpenlaufrad erstreckt. Um eine effiziente und sicher Kühlung der Leistungselektronik zu gewährleisten, ist vorgesehen, dass zumindest ein Nebenstromkanal (16) für das Kühlmittel zwischen Laufrad (2) und Kühlblech (11) hindurch gebildet ist, der sich durch das pumpenseitige Lager (7) hindurch zum Elektromotor (4) erstreckt.
