Definitions
- the invention relates to dispersions of strontium carbonate in organic liquids, powder obtainable from the dispersions and its use as additive in polymers with reduced birefringence or without birefringence.
- optical polymers find use for optical articles such as lenses or as functional films for liquid crystal displays.
- Corresponding-but-because-of-the-orientation of the polymer chains have a tendency to form birefringence during processing; This forms an anisotropic material. As a result, the optical properties deteriorate.
- One aspect of the invention comprises rod-shaped strontium carbonate particles having a length of at most 1000 nm, preferably not more than 500 nm, in particular not more than 200 nm, dispersed in an organic liquid or water, the dispersion of the particles in the organic liquid using a dispersant ⁇ was witnessed. These limits apply for at least 90% of all particles, preferably for at least 95%, in particular for substantially all particles.
- rod-shaped means that the length of the particles exceeds the thickness of the particles.
- the length to thickness ratio is at least 2.

Abstract
Description
Strontiumcarbonat-Dispersion und daraus erhältliches redispergierbares Pulver
Beschreibung
I
