Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour attribuer et gérer une autorisation d'utilisation pour un logiciel dans un réseau informatique (1) comprenant au moins un serveur (2) et plusieurs clients (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5). Ce logiciel peut être appelé par un ou tous les clients (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5). L'utilisation du logiciel installé n'est possible chez les clients (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5) que pendant la durée de validité d'une autorisation d'utilisation demandée au serveur (2). A cette fin, les clients (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5) communiquent avec le serveur (2) au moins pour demander une autorisation par l'intermédiaire d'une liaison réseau (5). Des autorisations d'utilisation sont attribuées par le serveur (2) selon des conditions d'une licence de réseau (6, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3) qui concerne soit une autorisation pour une utilisation simultanée du logiciel par un nombre maximal convenu (par ex. trois) de clients (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5), soit une autorisation pour une utilisation du logiciel par un nombre quelconque de clients (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5) pendant une durée totale convenue (D) d'utilisation du logiciel. L'attribution d'une autorisation d'utilisation par le serveur (2) est effectuée au moyen d'un jeton qui autorise une utilisation du logiciel chez le client respectif (par ex. 3.1), l'autorisation d'utilisation expirant soit après retour du jeton, soit après écoulement de la durée de validité du jeton.
