Befeuchtungseinrichtung für eine Warentheke, insbesondere eine Warenkühltheke, mit einem vom Warenauslageraum separat angeordneten Dampferzeuger (9), mit einem in den Warenauslageraum mündenden Dampfaustritt (13) und mit einer den Dampferzeuger (9) mit dem Dampfaustritt (13) verbindenden Dampfzuleitung (12), wobei eine demontierbare, dampfdurchlässige Abdeckung (21) im Bereich des Dampfaustritts (13) vorgesehen ist.
