Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'écartement permettant d'élargir ou d'étendre la mâchoire d'une personne par déplacement graduel, l'une par rapport à l'autre, de deux parties osseuses opposées de la mâchoire. Ce dispositif comprend deux éléments de fixation à fixer respectivement à une partie osseuse. Ces éléments de fixation ont des moyens à fixer à au moins un élément d'expansion qui doit s'étendre entre ces éléments de fixation de manière à connecter ces derniers l'un à l'autre. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que cet élément d'expansion est relativement rigide et a deux parties articulées l'une à l'autre.
