Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un appareil extincteur d'incendie, de préférence du type à pression auxiliaire. L'appareil comprend un corps contenant un agent extincteur de type poudre extinctrice, une tête d'extincteur fixée audit corps et destinée à recevoir les accessoires de commande de l'appareil, et un tube central, prévu à l'intérieur dudit corps, dans lequel est placé une cartouche sous pression contenant un gaz propulseur. L'appareil est caractérisé en ce que ledit corps comprend un centreur inférieur, prévus à l'intérieur dudit tube, pourvu d'un ou plusieurs canaux d'éjection traversant la paroi transversale dudit tube central et permettant d'expulser le gaz propulseur contenu dans ladite cartouche directement dans l'agent extincteur. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'extinction d'incendie utilisant de préférence un appareil extincteur d'incendie selon l'invention.
