Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Mauerstein bestehend aus zwei im Abstand zueinander angeordneten und im wesentlichen parallel zueinander verlaufenden Seitenwänden (2, 3), die über zwei außenliegende, Seitenflächen (4) bildende Stegelemente (5) und zumindest einen Quersteg (6) miteinander verbunden sind, wobei zwischen dem Quersteg (6) und jeweils einem Stegelement (5) Hohlräume (7) zur Aufnahme eines Wärmedämmmaterials (8) ausgebildet sind. Um einen Mauerstein derart weiterzubilden, dass er einerseits eine ausreichende mechanische Festigkeit hat, so dass er auch im Geschosswohnungsbau einsetzbar ist und er darüber hinaus einen hohen Wärmedurchgangswiderstand aufweist, so dass der Mauerstein ergänzend auch zum Aufbau einer Außenwand eines Gebäudes einsetzbar ist, wird mit der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, dass zumindest ein Stegelement (5) als Doppelsteg mit zumindest zwei Stegen (10, 11) ausgebildet ist, wobei die Stege (10, 11) über zumindest eine Querrippe (12) miteinander verbunden sind.
