Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Trennwand, insbesondere Duschtrennwand, enthaltend ein um eine Drehachse (10) mittels Scharnieren (8, 9) oder Drehlagern (58, 60) schwenkbares Türelement (2), welches aus einer Schließstellung zum Freigeben eines Durchgangs (52) in eine Offenstellung schwenkbar ist und umgekehrt, wobei eine Unterkante (34) des Türelements (2) in der Schließstellung im Wesentlichen horizontal angeordnet ist und wobei an der Unterkante bevorzugt ein Dichtelement (36) angeordnet ist. Die Trennwand soll dahingehend weitergebildet werden, dass bei einfacher Konstruktion und mit geringem Fertigungsaufwand im Bereich der Unterkante eine funktionssichere Abdichtung für eine lange Lebensdauer erreicht wird. Hierzu wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Scharniere (8, 9) oder Drehlager (58, 60) derart angeordnet und/oder ausgebildet sind, dass die Drehachse (10) zur Unterkante (34) einen vorgegebenen oder vorgebbaren Winkel (38) aufweist, welcher um wenige Winkelgrade kleiner ist als ein rechter Winkel, derart dass beim Aufschwenken des Türelements (2) in die Offenstellung die Unterkante (34) nach oben bewegbar ist, wobei diese zur horizontalen Ebene einen sich zur freien Längskante (40) des Türelements (2) öffnenden und beim Aufschwenken sich vergrößernden Winkel (48) einnimmt.
