Definitions

  • the invention relates to a flexible electrical line with a surrounded by a sheath of insulating soul in which at least one of two data transmission serving, surrounded by a common, a metallized plastic fleece shield containing data wires existing data pair and at least one of the supply line serving supply arranged are surrounded by a common electric screen, over which the jacket is arranged, wherein the data wires and the supply wire each have an insulated electrical conductor ( EP 1 589 541 B1 ).
  • Such lines are used for example in automotive technology in so-called driver assistance systems. They have to be mechanically strong and, in particular, resistant to tensile stress, with good flexibility that remains constant over a long period of time. In addition, they must ensure trouble-free transmission of data at the highest possible data rates.
  • the insulation of the two stranded signal wires consists of foamed insulating material.
  • an electrically conductive, metallized plastic fleece is seamlessly formed around the signal wires.
  • each a supply wire is arranged between the two signal wires outside the shield and in addition to at least one of the supply wires at least one Beilauflitze of electrically highly conductive, metallic wires is positioned.
  • a common outer shield made of an electric conductive, metallized plastic fleece attached and the outer shield is surrounded by a shield layer of electrically highly conductive, metallic wires over which the sheath is disposed.
  • This line has proven itself in practice. However, it is not particularly resilient and its use is limited to relatively low data rates.
  • the invention has for its object to make the line initially described so that it can be used without interference even with high data rates in the frequency range of 1 GHz with improved mechanical properties.
  • This line can be manufactured in conventional technology using basically known, simply constructed machines and associated devices. It has by the central core excellent mechanical properties, in particular a required tensile strength for many applications. Since the tensile core is well bendable and the other elements of the conduit are twisted around it, the conduit is generally bendable.
  • the data pairs are each surrounded by a shield, which shields the corresponding transmission circuits very well against interference from outside, even for very high frequencies or data rates.
  • This shield which is effective for frequencies of, for example, 1.2 GHz, is achieved by the interaction of the completely enclosed metal foil and the metallized plastic fleece, which is likewise a nearly closed metallic sheath with a coverage of> 85% for the data pairs.
  • shielding of this kind prevents interference from the data pairs which could influence one another or even be effective outside the line.
  • Another advantage of this line is that there are no runtime differences in the data transmission on the data pairs, since the data wires are parallel to each other and thus have the same length.
  • the line shown in cross-section in the drawing has two data pairs DP, in each of which two mutually parallel data cores 1 and 2 are arranged.
  • Each data core 1 or 2 has a preferably made of copper conductor 3, which is surrounded by an insulation 4.
  • the conductor 3 may be a solid wire or, advantageously, a stranded conductor. It may have an outer layer of tin, silver or nickel.
  • the conductor 3 may also consist of a cadmium-free copper alloy.
  • the insulation 4 is advantageously made of foamed insulating material, such as polyethylene or polypropylene.
  • a foamed insulation 4 may be provided in a known "skin" technique with a smooth outer skin.
  • the insulation 4 is advantageously made of a low density PTFE and optionally a sintered "skin" layer of PTFE or extruded FEP or PFA. It can also be composed of three layers with the skin-skin-skin performance sequence of the specified materials. With such a structure of the insulation 4 can be increased their tightness on the respective conductor.
  • the two data wires 1 and 2 are not stranded with each other, but run with the same length parallel to each other.
  • a common shield is attached, which consists of a plastic-laminated metal foil 5 and an electrically conductive, metallized plastic fleece 6.
  • the plastic-laminated metal foil 5 - in the following short Called "metal foil 5" - has an existing example of polyester plastic side and a preferably made. Aluminum or copper existing metal side. It is preferably longitudinally formed to form a longitudinal overlap location around the data wires 1 and 2, thus forming a metal surrounding around it. The metal side of the metal foil 5 points outwards.
  • the metallized plastic fleece 6 is present, for example, as a band, which is wound around the metal foil 5 with overlap.
  • the overlap is advantageously between 20% and 50%.
  • an additional metal layer which consists for example of silver.
  • the plastic fleece 6 consists in a preferred embodiment of polyester fibers. But it may also consist of other suitable fibers made of plastics, which are advantageously high temperature resistant. Such materials include polyaramide and polyimide.
  • the wall thickness or thickness of the plastic fleece 6 is preferably between 50 microns and 300 microns.
  • a good electrically conductive metal is used, in particular aluminum, copper, silver, nickel or a cadmium-free copper alloy.
  • two or more different metals can be used, which can be applied sequentially. The metal is converted to the molten state for metallization and deposited from the vapor phase on the nonwoven material.
  • the metal also penetrates into the nonwoven material and envelops the fibers which are held together disorderly there. Overall, a porous, but almost closed metal layer is produced on and in the plastic fleece, which results in coverage of> 85% for the data cores 1 and 2 already enclosed by the metal foil 5.
  • a drain wire 7 made of an electrically highly conductive material is attached in a preferred embodiment. It consists in particular of copper and may be coated with tin, silver or nickel in addition to the corrosion protection.
  • the Beilauflitze 7 can be advantageous in one of the gusset between the data wires 1 and 2, wherein the metal foil 5 in the each gusset is pressed. Above all, it serves for the secure longitudinal contact of the mechanically sensitive metal foil 5:
  • the two pairs of data DP are arranged on opposite sides of a central core 8 of the line, which is tensile and well bendable. It is formed in a preferred embodiment as a steel cable and surrounded by a layer 9 of insulating material, which consists for example of polyurethane, a thermoplastic elastomer or a high temperature resistant plastic.
  • the core 8 may also consist of a fiber-reinforced plastic or high-strength plastic yarns, such as aramid yarns.
  • a supply wire VA is disposed on each side of the core 8, each of which consists of a conductor 11 surrounded by an insulation 10.
  • the two data pairs DP and the two supply cores VA are stranded around the core 8, advantageously without reverse rotation of the data pairs DP.
  • Two fillers 12 and 13 of insulating material are provided to give the core of the core 8, data pairs DP and supply wires VA soul of the line an approximately circular cross-sectional shape.
  • the soul of the line as a whole may be surrounded by an existing wrapping 14 of insulating material, which is preferably formed by winding a tape of a polyester fleece or other high temperature resistant plastic.
  • a common electric screen 15 is arranged.
  • the screen 15 advantageously has a wrapping 14 surrounding plastic-laminated metal foil, which may be as well as the metal foil 5 executed. It is, for example, completely wound around the wrapping 14 with the outwardly facing metal side.
  • a braiding made of corrosion-protected copper wires or a metallized plastic fleece whose structure corresponds to the plastic fleece 6 can be applied over this metal foil. Instead of the metal foil and a braid of corrosion-protected copper wires can be used.
  • a potential separation of the shields of the data pairs DP and the common shield 15 may not be required.
  • the winding 14 of the core of the line then continues, so that the shields of the data pairs DP have direct contact with the then a metallic inner layer having screen 15.
  • the outer jacket 16 of the conduit is arranged, which is preferably produced by extrusion. It is advantageously made of polyurethane or a thermoplastic elastomer.
  • the line can also have more than two data pairs DP, which are wound around the core 8 separately from one another. It has at least one supply line VA. It can be according to the graphic representation, two supply wires VA or more than two supply wires. In all embodiments, the supply cores VA are advantageously separated from each other between two data pairs DP. All of these "stranding elements" are stranded together around the core 8.
