Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Plattenheizkörper mit mindestens einer aus zwei Halbschalen (4) verbundenen Heizplatte, wobei zwischen den Halbschalen (4) ein oberer Sammelkanal (13), parallel zu dem oberen Sammelkanal (13) ein unterer Sammelkanal (15) ausgebildet sind, und mit einer an dem oberen Sammelkanal (13) ausgebildeten Entlüftungsöffnung der Heizplatte, sowie mit einem Abstandhalter (11) zwischen den Halbschalen (4) an der Entlüftungsöffnung, wobei der Abstandhalter ein Durchströmen des Heizmittels zwischen dem hinteren Bereich und der Entlüftungsöffnung im Wesentlichen verhindert. Um den Wirkungsgrad des Plattenheizkörpers zu verbessern, ist es gemäß der Erfindung vorgesehen, dass der Abstandhalter (11) den oberen Sammelkanal (13) in der Strömungsrichtung dicht ausfüllt und eine gegenüber dem Durchflussquerschnitt kleinere Entlüftungskanal aufweist, durch die beim Entlüften des Plattenheizkörpers Luft aus dem hinteren Bereich entgegen einer Strömungsrichtung der Luft aus dem vorderen Bereich in den Abstandhalter (1 1) strömt.
