Abstract

L’invention concerne une installation de coulée continue de blooms ou de billettes comprenant une coquille destinée à former une barre métallique et un corset de guidage (2) raccordé à la coquille (1) conçu pour soutenir et guider la barre métallique. Le corset de guidage est constitué de plusieurs segments (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, 4) et chacun de ces segments est soutenu par l’intermédiaire d’un cadre porteur de segment (7, 8) dans la structure porteuse de l’installation de coulée continue, un premier cadre porteur de segment (7) suivant directement la coquille dans le corset de guidage soutenant au moins deux segments de corset de guidage. Afin de simplifier au maximum la maintenance, le premier segment de corset de guidage (3a, 3d) suivant directement la coquille est fixé de façon amovible sur le premier cadre porteur de segment, sur des surfaces d’appui (12) essentiellement verticales, et il est conçu indépendamment des segments de corset de guidage (3b, 3c ou 3e) suivants de l’installation de coulée continue, de manière à pouvoir être posé dans celle-ci et déposé de celle-ci. Ainsi, au moins le dernier segment de corset de guidage (3c, 3e) soutenu sur le premier cadre porteur de segment (7) forme exclusivement avec celui-ci une unité modulaire qui peut être posée et déposée.
