Definitions
- the present invention relates to a pylon type said monopole, used in particular in the field of mobile telecommunications, cellular radio, radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, energy or any other application requiring slender vertical structures (for example switchgear providing electrical energy such as solar panel or wind turbine, detection and communication systems, lighting, etc ).
- the invention relates to a device for the passage of linear equipment such as guides, coaxial cables or similar accessories, hereinafter referred to only by the term "equipment”.
- a monopole pylon also referred to as a monotube or monopod, is a circular and elongated structure that offers a harmonious vision provided that the associated equipment, such as guide, cables, antenna, access ladder, remain discreet, even invisible. The equipment can be attached to the outside and / or the top of the monopole pylon.
- openings must in no way weaken the tube or tubes constituting the framework of the monopole pylon. These openings must therefore be reinforced by gussets, reinforcing plates or welded tubes. In order not to weaken the resistance of the top tube, the openings must be of reduced dimensions. These openings are sometimes insufficient when new equipment is added during the life of the monopole pylon. However the realization of an opening on an existing tower and in service is a delicate and expensive operation, even in some cases impossible.
- Monopoly pylons usually consist of a large diameter tube composed of several sections. The strongest pipe sections are placed at the base of the monopole pylon. It is common for a monopole pylon to consist of tubes of different diameters and thicknesses. Diameter variations are compensated by assemblies (flanges or welded connections, interlocking,). The flanges are steel crowns having a number of holes necessary for bolting two consecutive pipe sections. The flange is an expensive component of the assembly. Welds are commonly used in the factory to compensate for the variation in diameter interposing between the two sections of a room. On construction sites, welds are often prohibited, limiting the height of the pylons.
- the present invention aims to eliminate the disadvantages of the prior art, and in particular to provide a device for the passage of equipment from the outside to the inside of a monopole pylon without requiring the development of openings.
- the invention also aims to provide a device for the passage of equipment from the outside to the inside of a monopole pylon without changing their path and without deflection causing curvatures.
- the present invention also aims to propose a monopole tower comprising a device for easy introduction of equipment inside the pylon, from its commissioning and throughout its use.
- the present invention also aims to provide a method of assembling a monopole tower which allows the easy passage of equipment from the outside to the inside of the pylon.
- the object of the present invention is a monopole pylon composed of at least two tube sections interconnected, characterized in that it comprises a device for the passage of equipment from the outside to the inside of the pylon comprising at least one upper tube section having gussets fixed on the outer surface of its wall and at least one lower tube section having gussets fixed on its inner surface, the upper tube section having a smaller dimension than the lower tube section; and the upper pipe section and the lower pipe section being connected so as to leave, between the outer surface of the wall of the upper pipe section and the inner surface of the wall of the lower pipe section, a space having a width sufficient to allow the passage of equipment .
- the gussets act as spacers, providing a space adapted to the size and the number of equipment that can pass from the outside to the inside of the pylon at each junction of the sections.
- the space thus forms a vertical opening which is in the continuity of the path of the equipment descending on the top of the pylon.
- the equipment penetrates the opening in a natural way without deflection, curvature or torsion. Their integrity is thus preserved.
- the gussets are preferably vertically welded to the outer surface of the wall of the smaller diameter upper pipe section and to the inner surface of the wall of the smaller diameter lower pipe section.
- the geometry and the number of gussets distributed over the periphery of the pipe sections are determined according to the stresses exerted on the right of the assembly.
- the gussets are provided with perforations adapted to cooperate with bolts to secure the gussets of the upper tube section with the gussets of the lower tube section.
- the assembly not bolts can be done in factory or in situ.
- the tube sections are of circular section.
- At least one reinforcing flange is attached to the outside of at least one section.
- a reinforcing collar is welded on each section respectively above and below the gussets.
- the collar comprises holes for fixing the equipment.
- the space between the lower pipe section and the upper pipe section has a sufficient size to allow the passage of equipment. Indeed, this method of assembly leaves multiple openings located between the gussets which allow the introduction, vertically and without curvature, guides or coaxial cables inside the monopole pylon.
- the invention also proposes a method of assembling a monopole tower comprising a step of introducing the upper tube section into the lower tube section so as to attach their respective gussets, and a step of connecting the gussets between them to medium of bolts.
- the assembly is made by interlocking with overlapping sections of different diameters over a short length, and then fixing only by connecting the gussets by means of bolts.
- the low interlocking length provides access to inside the sections from the outside. Bonding by bolting alone is simple, fast, reliable and inexpensive.
- the figure 1 shows a pylon 1 , called monopole, composed of cylindrical tube sections 2a, 2b, 2c of decreasing diameter.
- Pylon 1 carries at its top antennas 3 and is equipped with a ladder 4 fixed to the outside of its wall.
- the section of the tube section may have a varied geometric shape such as a circle or a polygon (square, hexagon, etc ).
- the following description mentions sections of circular section tube, it being understood that all that is described would apply in the same way to sections of tube having sections of different shape.
- the upper pipe section 20 has a smaller diameter than the lower pipe section 21 so that it can be inserted inside the latter.
- the upper tube portion 20 carries a plurality of gussets 22, here of substantially trapezoidal shape, welded to the outer surface 23 of its wall.
- the lower pipe section 21 carries a plurality of gussets 24 welded to the inner surface 25 of its wall.
- the gussets 22, 24 comprise perforations 26 intended to allow the introduction of bolts for the assembly of the pipe sections 20, 21 .
- the figure 3 illustrates another advantageous embodiment of the assembly of the pylon.
- the reinforcing flange 32 is attached to the outer surface 34 of the upper tube section 30 above the fixing zone of the gussets 35 carrying perforations 36.
- the reinforcing flange 33 is attached to the outer surface 37 of the pipe section 31 lower than the right of the gusset attachment zone 38 carrying perforations 36. It is of course possible to add as many additional reinforcement flanges 39 as necessary.
- FIG. figure 4 A detail of the assembly of an upper pipe section 40 and a lower pipe section 41 is shown in FIG. figure 4 .
- the upper tube section 40 is provided with gussets 42 and reinforced by a flange 43 provided with holes for attaching equipment suspension clips.
- the lower pipe section 41 is provided with gussets 44 and reinforced by flanges 45.
- the space existing between the upper pipe section 40 and the lower pipe section 41 makes it possible to connect the upper gussets 42 and the gussets by bolts 46. 44 lower.
- FIGS. 5a, 5b and 5c illustrate the passage of equipment such as guides or cables, including coaxial cables, towards the inside of the pylon.
- the figure 5a shows a section of upper tube 50 and a section of lower tube 51 assembled by means of gussets 52 so as to allow the entry and then the passage of coaxial cable 53 inside the pylon.
- the cables 53 penetrate into the section of lower tube 51 by insertion into the space separating the outer surface of the wall of the upper tube section 50 and the inner surface of the wall of the lower tube section 51.
- the tower is furthermore equipped with an access ladder 54 from the outside.
- the figure 5b is a schematic transverse section along AA at the level of the upper tube section 50 of the figure 5a .
- the upper pipe section 50 and the lower pipe section 51 appear concentrically connected by the gussets 52.
- the upper pipe section 50 and the lower pipe section 51 are separated by a space 55 in which the cables 53 are inserted. .
- the figure 5c is a longitudinal schematic section along BB of the figure 5b .
- the interlocking length is small, allowing access to all parts of the interlock from the outside.
