Definitions

  • the invention relates to a closure for containers, consisting of closure cap, closure element and sealing insert.
  • closures are increasingly used from other materials.
  • plastic closures it is customary to close containers by plastic closures.
  • the disadvantage here is that the container contents, especially in sensitive contents such as wine, can take on the taste of the closure material.
  • This problem also occurs if the container is closed by a metal closure (eg crown cap, aluminum screw cap) into which a plastic seal is inserted to achieve a sufficient sealing effect.
  • the IT 1 218 672 B describes a closure consisting of a cap made of a taste-neutral hard plastic and a soft gasket.
  • a closure element which consists of a different material than the cap, z. B. glass, use.
  • bolting forces cause the preload between the annular projection and the inner wall of the bottle neck, which together form the first course of the seal, to decrease. Thereby, the contact between the annular projection and the inner wall of the bottle neck, so the first sealing course, be completely canceled, whereby the container contents comes into contact with the material of the non-taste neutral sealing insert.
  • the representing the state of the art for the present invention performing WO 2004/024584 A1 describes a closure with a taste-neutral closure element, the z. B. is a circular disk of glass, ceramic, metal, etc., and which rests either flat on the bottleneck or plug-shaped protrudes into the bottle neck to form a first seal profile, and with a second, soft seal, which forms an additional seal.
  • the surfaces of the closure element and the neck of the bottle at the sealing point are to be matched to one another. This requires extremely flat, and thus pretreated, eg ground surfaces. As a result, the closure can not be used for any bottles.
  • a loss of contact between the sealing surfaces, caused z. B. by the internal pressure of the container, for immediate loss of sealing effect at least the first seal profile.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to develop a closure for containers with which minimizes the contact between the container contents and not taste neutral sealing elements and at the same time a high and durable sealing effect in all positions of the container, taking into account other constraints, eg. B. internal pressure of the container, as occurs frequently in wine bottles, is achieved.
  • the closure furthermore comprises a deformable sealing insert which, viewed from the interior of the container, lies behind the contact between Closure element and container wall, ie created behind the first seal course, a second seal profile.
  • this seal insert which is usually arranged in the cap, deformed during closing of the container by the resulting forces and at least partially introduced into a region between the closure element and the container wall, viewed from the container interior outside of the contact between the closure element and the container wall is located.
  • the gasket is flat on both the closure element and on the container wall and thus generates in addition to the contact between the closure element and the container wall, a second sealing profile.
  • the present invention is characterized in particular by the fact that the sealing insert is arranged in such a way that, when the container is closed to form the second sealing profile, it can be brought into sealing contact with the closure element by deformation in such a way that it at least partially reaches an area between the sealing element Closing element and the container wall is einpressbar and thereby can be brought into planar contact with both the container wall and on the closure element.
  • a trained in the context of the invention closure for containers is characterized in particular by the fact that the contact between the container contents and a non-tasteless sealing material is minimized, ideally completely prevented by the main sealing effect is achieved by the contact between the tasteless closure element and the container opening ,
  • the second sealing course which is formed according to the invention by the deformable sealing insert in connection with the container wall and the taste-neutral closure element, viewed from the container contents beyond the first, formed by the contact between the tasteless closure element and the container wall sealing occurs substantially no contact between the container contents and the deformable sealing insert, as far as a complete sealing effect is already produced by the first sealing profile of the contact between the closure element and the container wall.
  • closure seals in all layers i. even with a horizontal container, always safe and durable.
  • the sealing insert at least partially fills the space between the bottom of the closure cap and the closure element.
  • the lying between the bottom of the cap and the closure element part of the elastically deformable in this case, at least in this area formed gasket then acts as an elastic spring. Due to the spring action, the closure element is clamped against the closure cap, and thus the closure element is pressed with pretension against the container wall.
  • the sealing insert consists of elastically deformable material, the above-mentioned advantages result with simultaneous reclosability of the container, since the resealing of the container always achieves the same sealing effect as the first closure. If, on the other hand, a sealing insert made of plastically deformable material is used, sealing resealing of the container can be prevented, so that the closure can serve as a tamper-evident closure which fulfills a safety and warning function.
  • the closure element is at least partially enclosed by the sealing insert.
  • the seal insert may, for. B. at its lower, the upper edge of the bottle neck nearest part, are provided with a lip such that the closure element is preferably held positively in the sealing insert, so that the closure element does not fall out of the closure when opening the container.
  • this embodiment leads a projecting in the area between the lower side edge of the closure element and the upper edge of the bottle neck, z. B. lip-shaped seal for additional protection against glass breakage during sealing.
  • the cap and the gasket so that the gasket is held by the cap and can not fall out when opening.
  • the gasket can be held by appropriate projections of the cap securely in this.
  • it can also be permanently attached to the closure cap during manufacture, eg. B. by gluing.
  • closure cap ie closure cap, closure element and gasket insert
  • closure element ie closure cap, closure element and gasket insert
  • the closure element may, as already mentioned, in any form, which leads to a contact, preferably a linear contact, between the closure element and the container wall, for. B. as a frustoconical closure element, are formed.
  • the side facing away from the container opening of the closure element does not necessarily have to be flat, but can, for. B. conical, so that z. B. in the middle of the closure element results in a contact with the cap.
  • the closure cap which in this case has a certain elasticity, together with the cone-shaped elevation on the side of the closure element facing away from the container opening, produces a spring action which reliably always keeps the closure element in contact with the container wall.
  • the sealing insert in the region between the closure cap and preferably the top of the closure element z. B. at least partially stepped or provided with a similar function fulfilling surveys, so that with increasing closure of the container ever larger areas of the gasket insert on the closure element and / or the cap come to rest.
  • the steps or elevations of the sealing insert are designed such that the size of the areas adjacent to the closure element and / or the closure cap when closing is not continuous but discontinuous, ie. increases rapidly.
  • the closure element is to be made of a tasteless material. This will be especially glass.
  • the closure element can also z. B. made of ceramic, metal or tasteless plastics. Alternatively, it is possible to coat the closure element with a taste-neutral material.
  • the selected principle of the container closure can for any container consisting of z. As glass, ceramic, plastic or metal, using various principles of the cap, z. As screw, plug-in closure or crown caps are used.
  • Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the closure V according to the invention, z. B. for a beverage bottle.
  • the cap 2 is designed in the example shown as a screw cap. Accordingly, the container 1, here z. As a glass bottle, on the outside of the bottle neck 14, a screw thread 13.
  • the cap 2 is z. B. from a suitably hard plastic or a metal, for. B. aluminum, manufactured.
  • a closure element 3 is arranged between the cap 2 and the container opening 6, a closure element 3 is arranged.
  • the closure element 3 is formed in this embodiment spherical segment-like and made of glass.
  • the convex side of the closure element 3 faces the container opening 6, while the side 11 of the closure element 3 facing away from the container opening 6 is substantially planar and faces the bottom 15 of the closure cap 2.
  • the closure element 3 is in the closed state of the container 1 in a contact 5 with the container wall 7.
  • the container interior 9 is thus closed by a first, formed by the contact 5 sealing course between closure element
  • the gasket 4 Seen from the container interior 9 on the other side of the contact 5 between the closure element 3 and the container wall 7, the gasket 4 is arranged. It fills the area between Cap 2, closure element 3 and container wall 7 at least partially.
  • the gasket 4 is deformable, designed elastically deformable in the present example.
  • the entire cavity between the container wall 7, the closure element 3 and the closure cap 2 is possibly filled.
  • the gasket 4 depending on the particular design even on the outside of the container wall 7, i. in the region between the cap 2 and the container wall 7, which is located directly at the beginning or even in the region of the screw thread 13, in order to increase the sealing effect even further.
  • the closure element 3 Due to the positioning of the gasket 4 between the upper side 11 of the closure element 3 and the bottom 15 of the closure cap 2 and by the elastic in the present example designed seal insert 4, the closure element 3 by the force exerted by the cap 2 on the gasket 4 forces against the container wall. 7 pressed so that even if a part of the bias voltage, z. B. by expansion of the cap 2 or by creep due to the elasticity of the gasket 4, the closure element 3 is always pressed against the container wall 7 and thus the contact 5 and also formed by the gasket 4 second seal profile 8 are maintained.
  • FIG. 1 the space between the bottom 15 of the closure cap 2 and the side 11 of the closure element 3 facing away from the container opening 6 is not completely filled by the sealing insert 4.
  • the substantially annular seal insert 4 rests against the closure element 3 only on an outer radius, so that a cavity remains between the closure element 3 and the closure cap 2.
  • the spring effect of the gasket 4, which always presses the closure element 3 against the container wall 7 due to its elasticity by the bias of the closure cap 2, in particular by the elasticity of the part of the gasket 4, the side facing away from the container opening 6 11 of the closure element 3 and the bottom 15 of the cap 2 is caused.
  • closure element 3 is in the in Fig. 1 shown embodiment held by the lip-shaped lower part 16 of the gasket 4 in a form-fitting manner in the gasket 4.
  • the gasket 4 is held in the closure cap 2 by a projection 21 in the inner side 20 of the wall of the closure cap 2 in a form-fitting manner in the closure cap 2.
  • cap (2) as in in Fig. 1 embodiment shown still a damping ring (22), in Fig. 1 on the top of the Closing cap arranged, have. This forms a supplementary protection of the closure, eg against external impact.
  • FIG. 2 is the execution of the gasket 4 with lip-shaped lower part 16 of the gasket 4 shown enlarged again.
  • a step-shaped sealing insert 4 is used in the closure V. It is in the embodiment in FIG. 2 also elastic.
  • the step-shaped sealing insert 4 has a first step 17 and a second step 18 in the region between the bottom 15 of the closure cap 2 and the side 11 of the closure element 3 facing away from the container opening 6.
  • the closure V is shown in the not completely closed state. It is only the first stage 17 on the side facing away from the container opening 6 11 of the closure element 3 and the bottom 15 of the cap 2 at.
  • the first stage 17 of the gasket 4 is compressed, so that from a defined, by the compressing the first stage 17 certain force and the second stage 18 both on the side facing away from the container opening 6 11 of the closure element 3 and on Bottom 15 of the cap 2 comes to rest.
  • the second stage 18 abuts against the side 11 of the closure element 3 facing away from the container opening 6 and the underside 15 of the closure cap 2, the forces for closing the container 1 increase abruptly.
