Abstract

Die Erfindung stellt ein modulares Beleuchtungssystem (30,40,50,60) bereit. Das modulare Beleuchtungssystem umfasst eine Vielzahl von Beleuchtungsmodulen (10,10'), wobei jedes Beleuchtungsmodul einen im Wesentlichen ebenen Trägerahmen (12) aufweist. Dabei können die Beleuchtungsmodule der Vielzahl von Beleuchtungsmodulen im Baukastenprinzip lösbar derart miteinander verbunden werden, dass eine freitragende Struktur ausgebildet wird. Dabei erfolgt die Verbindung zwischen jeweils zwei Beleuchtungsmodulen, vorzugsweise über jeweils ein Verbindungsstück (20) derart, dass ein elektrischer Strom zwischen diesen Beleuchtungsmodulen (10,10') fließen kann. In den Trägerrahmen (12) von wenigstens einem Beleuchtungsmodul (10,10') ist wenigstens ein Leuchtmittel (14a-d) eingesetzt.
