- This invention relates to a vent assembly for a building and in its preferred aspects to a smoke vent for fitting to the roof of a building. Though the invention could be used for other kinds of vent, it will in the following be described solely in relation to a smoke vent.
- Smoke vents are frequently fitted to commercial, public and industrial building in order to allow smoke to escape in the event of a fire, thereby enhancing the ability of people to evacuate the building before being overcome by the smoke and fumes of the fire.
