Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de tannage de peaux d'animaux, comprenant les étapes suivantes : confitage et picklage de la peau d'animal dans une solution aqueuse, - réduction de la teneur en liquide de la peau d'animal, - remplacement d'au moins une partie de la quantité de liquide extraite de la peau d'animal à l'étape précédente par une solution de tannage qui contient la substance de tannage devant être absorbée par la peau d'animal dans une quantité qui correspond au maximum à un excédent de 80 %, et - traitement de la peau d'animal contenant la solution de tannage au moyen d'un gaz comprimé dans un réservoir sous pression pendant une durée d'au moins 15 minutes. Ce procédé ne produit que peu d'eau usée et peut même éventuellement ne produire aucune eau usée, et permet d'obtenir des cuirs ou des peaux entièrement tannés à un haut niveau de qualité pour de courts temps de traitement.
