Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorsatzoptik (10) aus einem transparenten Material zum Einsatz in einem Lichtmodul (28) eines Kraftfahrzeugscheinwerfers (24). Die Vorsatzoptik (10) ist derart ausgebildet, dass sie von mindestens einer Halbleiterlichtquelle (12) ausgesandtes Licht zur Erzeugung einer vorgegebenen Lichtverteilung mit einer Helldunkelgrenze (42) bündelt. Die Vorsatzoptik (10) umfasst mindestens eine Lichteinkoppelfläche (14a, 14b) zum Einkoppeln zumindest eines Teils des von der Lichtquelle (12) ausgesandten Lichts, totalreflektierende Grenzflächen (16) zur Totalreflexion des eingekoppelten Lichts, und mindestens eine Lichtauskoppelfläche (18a, 18b) zum Auskoppeln des in die Vorsatzoptik (10) eingekoppelten Lichts, eventuell nach einer Totalreflexion an einer der Grenzflächen (16) Um eine kostengünstige und effizient arbeitende Vorsatzoptik (10) zu schaffen, die ohne zusätzliche Blenden oder Blendenanordnungen eine Lichtverteilung mit einer scharfen Helldunkelgrenze (42) erzeugen kann, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Grenzflächen (16) der Vorsatzoptik (10) in mehrere Bereiche (34) unterteilt sind, wobei jeder der Bereiche (34) einem definierten Punkt einer Leuchtfläche (13) der mindestens einen Halbleiterlichtquelle (12) zugeordnet ist, wobei die den Bereichen (34) zugeordneten Punkte mindestens zwei zueinander beabstandete Punkte der Leuchtfläche (13) umfassen, und wobei die Bereiche (34) derart ausgebildet sind, dass jeder der Bereiche (34) die Helldunkelgrenze (42; 42') der Lichtverteilung oder einen Teil davon erzeugt.
