Definitions

  • the invention relates to a package for flowable, in particular liquid and viscous, products with a flexible inner bag for receiving a product, wherein the inner bag is provided with a closure having a spout, and with an outer package which surrounds the inner bag at least partially and supports the inner bag ,
  • an outer packaging in the context of the present invention, a relatively stiff compared to the flexible inner bag material or element is meant, which is suitable to keep the inner bag in an upright position permanently.
  • Such outer packages are usually formed by a cardboard casing, which usually has a cuboid shape.
  • a relatively rigid plastic can be used.
  • the inner bag is made of a flexible film composite material that is mechanically supported by a corrugated cardboard or the like.
  • the inner bag is usually filled with a non-pressurized liquid, such as a drink, and closed at one end via a spout having a spout.
  • the so filled and closed inner bag is then inserted into the outer packaging.
  • the the Outer packaging forming cardboard is then completely closed.
  • the problem with the preceding pack is the relatively complicated operation for the consumer. For example, the consumer first has to provide an opening in the outer packaging by pressing in a usually pre-cut window in the cardboard material. Then the consumer has to grab the tap inside the box and lead it out through the previously made opening. Afterwards the packing must be aligned so that the liquid can flow out automatically when opening the tap. Only then can the consumer open the tap and remove the liquid.
  • the tap is always mounted at the bottom to allow liquid leakage by means of the static pressure and the collapsing bag inside, which is cumbersome when using a pack of several liters, for example 20 liters.
  • Such a pack has not yet prevailed in the private consumer, but is mainly used in the catering industry. This is certainly due firstly to the fact that the end user is accustomed to consuming liquids from plastic or glass bottles in which he only has to loosen a screw cap, bottle cap or cork and can then immediately pour out the liquid by tilting the bottle.
  • the use of a bag-in-box system is relatively complex.
  • the bag-in-box system has the disadvantage that a tap, albeit only to a small extent, accumulates drops, which has undesirable contamination in the consumer household result. Also If the liquid is always under pressure at the tap when the tap is open, the liquid can escape from the pack in the event that the tap is inadvertently not completely closed, which further increases the risk of contamination of the environment ( risk of leakage).
  • plastic bags are known as packages for liquids, the two opposite side walls of a relatively rigid plastic and two orthogonal side walls of a have relatively flexible plastic and are provided on its upper side with a cap having a spout.
  • these packs are easy to use and, on the other hand, because they are made of recyclable plastic, they are environmentally friendly and resource-saving.
  • these packages can be folded in the emptied state to a relatively small volume. Due to the use of different stiff plastics but the production of the packages is relatively expensive. Also, compared to carton packs, the packs have a relatively unstable state and therefore can not be made arbitrarily large, especially as far as the height is concerned.
  • the previously derived and indicated object is achieved in a package of the type mentioned above in that the outer packaging has an opening through which the spout is guided to the outside, wherein the spout to the outer packaging, in particular releasably connected; and previously in the manner defined in the characterizing part of claim 1.
  • the outer packaging from the outset has an opening through which the spout is already led from the outset (manufacturer side) to the outside, the consumer to the pack to remove the product, such as a drink or the like, not only laborious even provide an opening in the outer packaging and then reach through this opening the spout and lead to the outside.
  • the spout since the spout is connected to the outer packaging, the spout is fixed to the outer packaging and can not unintentionally get inside the outer packaging, where this would then laboriously be gripped and brought out again.
  • a closure cap in particular a screwable closure cap, can also be used in a simple manner as a closure.
  • such a package is as easy to use as a conventional bottle with a screw cap.
  • Another advantage is the possibility of using environmentally friendly and resource-saving materials, such as recycled or recyclable plastic for the flexible inner bag and recycled or recyclable cardboard (cellulose fiber material) for the outer packaging. Also, by the stable outer packaging, such as a cardboard, the inner bag, since it is optimally supported and protected, are made of a relatively thin film, which the packaging costs and weight benefits.
  • connection between spout and outer packaging is made detachable, the outer packaging readily from the the spout having inner bag are separated, whereby a separate disposal of different materials, such as cardboard on the one hand and plastic on the other hand, is readily possible.
  • a releasable connection is meant such a connection which is easily detachable from the consumer by hand, that is without much effort and without the use of tools.
  • connection between spout and outer packaging is therefore preferably just so strong that in a proper loosening or unscrewing (or placing or screwing) of the cap and in a proper use of the package in the event that the product is to be removed, the Compound holds, but as soon as a greater relative force between spout and outer packaging is spent, as is necessary for the intended use, the outer packaging immediately dissolves from the spout with the bag.
  • the latter can be favored, for example, by the lid of the outer packaging is unfolded or released from the remaining part of the outer packaging.
  • the outer packaging has a bottom, a plurality of side walls, preferably four side walls, and a lid, wherein the opening is provided in the lid and the spout is connected to the lid, in particular detachably.
  • Such outer packaging is particularly stable, visually appealing and easy to use by the user. Also, such a package is optimal, even in large quantities, storable.
  • the spout has a radially outwardly projecting flange and a radially outwardly projecting collar, wherein the flange and the collar are spaced apart in the axial direction, wherein the distance is in particular less than 4 mm, preferably less than 2 mm, particularly preferably less than 1.5 mm.
  • the flange and / or the collar can be formed by a circumferential ring or by a plurality of circumferentially arranged tabs.
  • the flange which can be arranged at the bottom, directed towards the inner bag end of the spout, serves to secure the inner bag to the spout.
  • the spout is guided from the inside through an opening in the bag to the outside, wherein the flange comes to rest on the inside of the bag.
  • the film of the inner bag and the flange are then connected to each other inseparably, for example by heat sealing with, in particular, permanently heated sealing jaws or ultrasonic welding.
  • the collar which is spaced in the direction of pointing away from the inner bag end of the spout from the flange, serves as an attachment for the outer packaging, in particular the lid. It is provided that the spout is guided through an opening in the inner bag to the outside, wherein a portion of the outer package, in particular the lid, and a portion of the inner bag between the flange and the collar arranged, in particular jammed, are.
  • the portion of the outer packaging in particular of the lid, have incisions which point to the opening of the outer packaging and in particular are directed radially to the center of the opening.
  • the length of the incisions corresponds at least to the radial extent of the collar, so that the lid or the outer packaging can be simply slipped over the collar, in particular in the manufacture of the package, when the opening part of the outer packaging, such as the lid, with the Spout and the collar is connected.
  • this also applies to the case that in an example emptied pack of the opening having part of the outer packaging or the lid is opened or removed from the spout to separate the inner bag of the outer packaging.
  • the side of the flange facing the collar is connected in a liquid-tight manner to the inner bag.
  • the flange is preferably located on the inside of the inner surface of the inner bag.
  • the flange-facing side of the collar is, as already indicated, preferably connected to the outer packaging, in particular the lid, so that, from inside to outside, an exemplary layer structure results, starting with the flange, followed by a portion of the inner bag (that is the film of the inner bag), again followed by a portion of the outer package or the lid and finally ending with the collar.
  • connection between the collar and outer packaging is a punctiform connection, which is preferably formed by sealing points, particularly preferably ultrasonic welding points .
  • sealing points or ultrasonic welding points can be dispensed with adhesive, since in the sealing area of the plastic of the collar and / or the surface or coating of the outer packaging is heated and fused locally, creating a permanent and adhesive-free connection between collar and outer packaging arises.
  • the outer packaging at least in the region of the connection to the collar, is provided with a surface, in particular a coating, which is configured to form an adhesive bond with heated (ie liquefied) plastic after it has hardened.
  • connection between spout and outer packaging by means of glue, in particular hot glue. So it is here, especially in a only selective connection to a relatively small area, it must be connected, so that, in particular if the outer packaging is made adhesive-free, characterized the package can still be produced environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
  • the flange has a larger diameter than the collar, wherein the flange in a portion which is covered in the axial direction by the collar, has a greater thickness than in the remaining part.
  • connection between spout and outer packaging adhesive-free that is for the connection no glue, in particular hot glue, is used in the case.
  • glue in particular hot glue
  • join the outer packaging adhesive-free for example by heat sealing with particular permanently heated sealing jaws or preferably by ultrasonic welding.
  • adhesive-free packing is on the one hand particularly environmentally friendly, on the other hand, but also relatively inexpensive to manufacture. Also, a corresponding manufacturing device, since an adhesive is dispensable, be simpler structure.
  • the inner bag is connected according to still another embodiment of the package according to the invention only on the spout with the outer packaging and movable in the outer packaging.
  • the inner bag is fixed only on the spout, but not on the outer packaging.
  • the inner bag can correspondingly reduce its volume around the part of the product which has run off.
  • the inner bag thus correspondingly (collapses) when pouring out the product, which has the advantage that no pressure equalization must take place in the inner bag during pouring, ie no air flows in during the pouring process from the outside.
  • the outer packaging, the spout and the inner bag can be made of different materials, as long as it is ensured that the inner bag is flexible and in the package during emptying as free to move as possible, that is collapse, and as long as the outer packaging of the flexible inner bag by a relative to Inner bag supports stiffer material and preferably also protects to all sides. From an environmental point of view, it is particularly recommendable if the outer packaging largely, preferably completely, consists of cardboard.
  • the inner bag and / or the spout can largely, preferably completely, be made of plastic.
  • the package according to the invention extends at least a portion of the lid, preferably the complete lid, obliquely to the bottom and / or at least one of the side walls of the pack.
  • Such an oblique course facilitates the pouring of the product, since in this way the spout, in particular when it is connected to a protruding perpendicular to the central axis of the spout collar with the surface of the lid, is set correspondingly inclined.
  • the central axis of the spout runs obliquely to the bottom and / or at least one of the side walls.
  • the angle between the oblique plane, in which said oblique lid portion or the lid extends, and the plane in which said bottom extends is, for example, 10 to 45 °, preferably 15 to 38 °, particularly preferably 20 to 25 °.
  • the angle between the central axis of the spout and the plane through which the bottom passes is, for example, 45 to 80 °, preferably 52 to 75 °, particularly preferably 65 to 70 °.
  • a rectangular instead of an oblique course is conceivable, that is, the lid is parallel and / or the central axis of the spout perpendicular to the ground.
  • the wall of the spout in the region between the flange and collar has an enlarged cross-section.
  • Such an enlarged cross-section which is thus greater than the remaining cross section of the wall of the spout, increases the rigidity of the spout in the region with which it is attached to the outer packaging. Also, this is the area in which the outer packaging attached to the spout together with the inner bag, in particular jammed, can be, so that the clamping force does not wear off over time.
  • At least one of the side walls preferably all side walls, have tabs at their end facing the lid, which engage with tabs provided on the lid in the closed state of the lid, in particular each tab of the side walls a tab of Lid and / or each tab of the lid is associated with a tab of the side walls.
  • the lid which may be a hinged lid, can be easily connected to the side walls, which in turn benefits the stability of the entire package.
  • Hooking tabs also have the advantage that on the one hand to the connection between the lid and side walls no Adhesive must be used and on the other hand in the manufacture of the package an additional step of gluing or sealing can be omitted.
  • the hooking described above can be realized in a particularly simple manner if, according to a further embodiment of the package according to the invention, the outer packaging consists of a one-piece blank.
  • An integral blank also minimizes the number of points at which two adjacent sections of the outer package must be joined together, for example by ultrasonic welding.
  • the spout with preassembled closure in particular preassembled closure cap, which may be a screw cap, is inserted into the opening of the film used.
  • preassembled closure cap which may be a screw cap
  • the openings of the film are produced by a separate tool according to another embodiment of the method according to the invention. Separately means that not the spout itself is used to create the openings, but this happens on the machine side. Of course, but also the spout may be formed so that it is adapted to produce even the respective opening. The openings for inserting the spout are in particular punched.
  • the respective spout is inserted into the respective opening of the film before the step of forming the film into a tube.
  • the spout is fixedly connected to the film, ie undetachably connected.
  • Insoluble means that the connection can not be easily solved by the consumer, without applying an increased force.
  • the spouts are connected to the film immediately after the step of inserting the spouts into the openings of the film. In principle, however, the connection could also be made later.
  • connections described above that is, the connection of the spout to the film and / or the longitudinal and / or transverse seals and / or the welding in the head space, are carried out according to a further embodiment of the method by means of ultrasound.
  • a heat-sealing with in particular permanently heated sealing jaws is conceivable.
  • a double seam is produced in each case according to yet another embodiment of the method, and the separation of individual film sections is effected by a separating cut between the seams of the double seam.
  • the severing cut is made through the seam such that a part of the seam is arranged on both sides of the separating cut.
  • the step of forming the film into a tube via a Form shoulder takes place, which is in particular tubular, wherein preferably takes place via a arranged in the interior of the forming shoulder filling tube, the step of filling the bag.
  • the filling is basically possible later, for example, after the insertion of the bag in the outer packaging.
  • a filling preferably 0.2 to 2 l of the product, preferably 0.25 to 1.5 l of the product, is introduced into the bag.
  • the head space is depleted of air before the step of welding the bags in the head space and after the step of filling the bags with the product, which is particularly automatic.
  • air upon first opening the package and the bag, air first flows into the headspace of the bag, preventing any part of the product from inadvertently spilling over when the package is opened.
  • the filled and closed bag is gripped according to a further embodiment of the spout and / or on the closure and is in particular passed to a transfer system.
  • the transfer system can be equipped with special rails, for example C rails, which engage in a groove provided on the spout.
  • the filled and sealed bag in particular from the transfer system, is inserted into the outer packaging.
  • the unfilled bag is first inserted into the outer packaging and only then filled.
  • the outer packaging is closed after insertion of the bag with a lid.
  • outer packaging are conceivable that do not have to be closed, since they consist for example of an annular strip, such as annular cardboard strips, which forms an inevitably open on both sides outer packaging, so that the bag can also be inserted from the side into the outer packaging.
  • the step of generating the, in particular releasable, connection between spout and outer packaging comprises generating a point-to-point connection.
  • the connection in particular the punctiform connection, as well as the other connections can be made by means of ultrasound.
