Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pipette for actuating a syringe.
  • the pipettes used here for actuating a syringe serve to dispense liquid received in the syringe in several steps. They are also referred to as dispensers or repeating pipettes. These pipettes have at the lower end of a rod-shaped housing a receptacle for a flange of a cylinder of the syringe and in the housing a displaceable receiving body with a piston receptacle for the upper end portion of a piston rod of a piston of the syringe.
  • the syringe can be used with the flange and the end portion of the piston rod through axially directed openings of the receptacles.
  • the flange and the end portion are held in the receptacles by means for detachable holding, which are designed, for example, as spring-loaded gripping levers.
  • the pipette comprises means for displacing the receiving body, which allow a partial withdrawal of the piston from the cylinder for the suction of liquid into the syringe and a stepwise depression of the piston into the cylinder for the stepwise discharge of liquid.
  • the DE 2926691 C2 and the US 4406170 A describe means for displacing the receiving body in the housing. These include a connected to the receiving body and by a straight line slot protruding from the housing elevator lever for drawing liquid into the syringe by displacing the receiving body of the recording away. In addition, they include a rack-pawl means for gradually advancing the piston by a reciprocating metering lever. At the metering a pivoting pawl is mounted. The rack is connected to the receiving body and arranged in the pivoting range of the pawl. An adjustable sliding cover covers the row of teeth on the rack more or less to the engagement of the To limit the pawl into the rack while swiveling the dosing lever.
  • the rack is designed with a contour through which in the advanced position of the piston, the cover of the rack is displaced away, so that it prevents the pawl from engaging in the uncovered teeth of the rack. This prevents that a residual amount is discharged from the syringe, which is smaller than the dispensed in each dosing step dosage.
  • the EP 0657216 B1 and US 5620661 A describe such a pipette with a sensor for sensing protrusions and depressions on the syringe flange and associated syringes.
  • the sensor is used to determine the size of the syringe used.
  • electronics Based on the set increment, electronics will determine the amount of fluid dispensed at each dispensing step. This will be shown on a display.
  • the receiving body is firmly connected to a rigid cover strip, which covers the slot from the inside.
  • the cover strip extends upwardly from the receiving body, so that it covers only the slot above the elevator lever. There is not enough room for another cover strip below the elevator lever.
  • the cover strip shifts in the Housing up and the slot opens below the elevator lever,
  • two elastic hoses which are arranged in the housing of the pipette.
  • the open slot allows an insight into the interior of the device and dirt in the housing, which contaminates the mechanical and possibly electronic components of the pipette.
  • the DE 32 11 271 A1 and EP 0 090 250 A1 describe a slider with slots on actuators for heating and ventilation, especially in air conditioning systems of motor vehicles.
  • a band is attached, whose ends are attached to the body.
  • the tape is passed through a breakthrough of an operating lever of the slider.
  • the tape is spaced from the slot so that there is a cavity between the slot and tape that allows dirt to enter the body. The tape prevents the leakage of extraneous light from the slider while reducing contamination of the internal structure.
  • the DE 195 41 628 C2 describes a sliding plate, for example, a sliding resistance or to change the bias of a spring in a mechanical system or in execution of a program selector lever for an automatic transmission in motor vehicles.
  • the slide actuator has a housing having a slot and a sliding piece longitudinally movable in the slot with a driver side and a driver side mounted thereon and extending through the slot.
  • the sliding plate has an exclusively in Slot direction extending, flexible band.
  • the band passes over the slot in a groove on the side of the housing facing the pickup side and extends through a recess in the push piece. At its ends the band is fixed on the housing, wherein the distance of the fixing points is less than the length of the band extending therebetween.
  • the tape seals the slot at the locations of the slot where the sliding piece is not located.
  • the tape may be easily soiled and damaged due to its location on the outside of the housing.
  • the recess in the sliding piece is formed in one embodiment by a laterally generated slot in the receiving side of the sliding piece.
  • the lateral arrangement of the slot allows lateral leakage of the tape. It also affects the appearance of the sliding piece.
  • the sliding piece is formed by two contiguous, substantially symmetrical halves, each consisting of one half of the transducer side and the driver side, wherein the recess by a respective slot in the contact surface of the two halves with a depth which is at least half corresponds to the width of the band is formed.
  • the division of the sliding piece in two symmetrical halves requires a complex assembly, since the halves must be pushed onto the narrow sides of the tape. In addition, the appearance of the split sliding piece is impaired.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a pipette for actuating a syringe with a sealed housing.
  • the slot can always be covered by the cover strip, regardless of which position the receiving body occupies in the housing. This is achieved in that the cover strip the slot covered from below and held in the longitudinal direction of the slot spaced apart locations in the housing. At the two longitudinal sides of the slot, however, the cover strip has no connection with the housing.
  • the connecting element is provided with a channel through which the cover strip extends.
  • the friction between the means for displacing the receiving body and / or other components which can be displaced in the housing and which are connected to these means and components arranged fixedly in the housing is such that the elevator lever does not rotate when the pipette is oriented vertically moved independently along the slot.
  • the friction brake prevents inadvertent displacement of the receiving body and the associated elevator lever, without the need for additional components for this purpose.
  • the friction is dimensioned such that the elevator lever does not automatically move along the vertical axis of the pipette Schlitzes shifted. According to a preferred embodiment, the friction is so dimensioned that the elevator lever does not shift automatically even when the pipette is moved in vertical alignment by the user.
  • the dimensioning of the friction is preferably based on the usual gentle movements of the user when picking up, carrying, using and depositing a pipette. The friction acting between the displaceable component and the component arranged fixedly in the housing prevents a displacement of the elevator lever along the slot under the influence of the weight force acting on the elevator lever and, if necessary, under the influence of acceleration forces.
  • the friction is dimensioned such that the elevator lever does not automatically shift along the slot when the pipette is in a vertical position, even if the pipette is not equipped with a syringe. In this case, a displacement of the elevator lever is not counteracted by the friction between syringe plunger and syringe barrel.
  • Another advantage of the invention is that by passing the cover strip through the channel, the friction between the movable member and the component fixedly disposed in the housing can be determined.
  • the friction between the connecting element and cover strip is dimensioned so that the elevator lever does not automatically displaced along the slot in vertical alignment of the pipette or this friction is displaced together with the friction between another pair in the housing and fixedly arranged in the housing Dimension components accordingly.
  • the friction between the cover strip and the connecting element depends in particular on the materials of the cover strip and connecting element, on the geometric shape and the dimensions of the channel and the cover strip and on the prestressing with which the cover strip is held in the housing is. These parameters can be set so that the friction meets the aforementioned criteria.
  • the friction between another pair of components one of which is displaceable in the housing and the other is fixedly arranged in the housing, as the connecting element and the cover strip dimensioned so that the elevator lever does not automatically along the Schlitzes shifted.
  • the pair of components may be, for example, a rack for displacing the receiving body within the housing and a bearing block fixedly connected to the housing for supporting a pivotable actuating lever of a pawl drive of the rack.
  • these pairs of components may be the elevator lever which can be displaced relative to the housing or the connecting element and the housing itself.
  • the friction between the displaceable component and the component permanently connected to the housing can also be dimensioned together with the friction between the connecting element and the cover strip such that the elevator lever does not automatically displace along the housing when the pipette is vertically aligned.
  • the invention relates to rigid cover strips.
  • the cover strip is flexible.
  • a flexible cover strip or cover strip is preferably kept stretched between the two spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the slot locations.
  • the cover strip is elastic. Due to the elastic design, the cover strip can stretch, so that it does not tear when loaded in the longitudinal direction. A load of the cover strip in Longitudinal direction can be effected for example by a slight tilting of the elevator lever.
  • the cover strip is flexible and has the channel in the connecting element in the longitudinal direction of the cover strip a flat U-shaped curved course, so that the cover strip is deflected in the channel of a plane in which it extends adjacent to the connecting element.
  • the U-shaped course of the channel favors a close contact of the flexible cover strip at the edges of the slot, because the upper boundary of the channel can be displaced away from the edges of the slot.
  • the close contact of the flexible cover strip at the edges of the slot penetration of dirt into the housing is effectively prevented.
  • the flexible cover strip is curved on both sides of the connecting element to the edges of the slot through the shape of the channel. Due to the deflection of the cover strip in the channel, the friction between the cover strip and connecting element is increased, which counteracts an unintentional displacement of the receiving body in the housing.
  • the channel runs in the connecting element with its mouths curved in the plane through the undeflected portions of the cover strip.
  • the receiving body is fixedly connected to at least one support member which is supported on a support track in the housing, which is aligned parallel to the plane through the portions of the cover strip outside of the connecting element. Be about support element and support track Forces acting on the elevator lever derived in the housing. An overload of the cover strip is thereby avoided.
  • the support elements are wings projecting on different sides of the receiving body in a plane which is parallel to the plane in which the cover strip is arranged adjacent to the connecting element and which are in parallel grooves on the inside of the opposite walls of the housing intervention. About the wings uniform support and guidance of the receiving body is achieved in the housing.
  • the connecting element has a slot nut engaging in the slot.
  • the nut may guide the connector in the slot.
  • the connecting element has a fixed to the receiving body, arranged in the housing elevator lever holder and a slot through and connected to the elevator lever elevator lever carrier, wherein the channel between the elevator lever holder and the elevator lever carrier is formed.
  • a wall of the channel is a side surface of the elevator lever holder and an opposite wall of the channel is another side surface of the elevator lever carrier.
  • the elevator lever holder and the elevator lever carrier are joined together in the region of the channel so that together they form the channel. This facilitates the manufacture of the channel.
  • the assembly Particularly advantageous since the elevator lever carrier and elevator lever holder can be attached to the flat sides of the cover strip during assembly. It is also advantageous that the joining zone or contact surfaces of the elevator lever holder and the elevator lever carrier is arranged inside the housing, so that it does not disturb the external appearance of the elevator lever.
  • the elevator lever carrier on the sliding block.
  • cover strip is held at two spaced locations at the two ends and / or outside the two ends of the slot.
  • cover strip is attached to the and / or outside of the two ends of the slot in one or more of the following ways attached to the housing: positive, cohesive or non-positive.
  • the cover strip is attached to eyes or eyes on projecting from the inside of the housing pin.
