Definitions
- the invention relates to a slip ring arrangement for transmitting electrical signals by means of sliding contacts between mutually rotatable parts.
- At least one sliding contact also called a brush, made of a likewise electrically conductive material grinds on a sliding track made of electrically conductive material. Electrical current can be transmitted through the galvanic contact between the contact tracks and the contact.
- the EP 0662736 A discloses a slip ring assembly in which a single brush has multiple wires that run in a V-groove. This results in a low contact resistance due to the parallel connection of several contacts.
- JP 2006 164900 A discloses a sliding contact arrangement in which two wire brushes are arranged on different brush blocks.
- a disadvantage of the prior art is that none of these slip ring arrangements enables reliable electrical contact in the case of high shock and shock loads. In the event of short-term strong impacts or vibrations, brief contact interruptions occur when the brushes are lifted off the track. Interruptions due to vibrations that occur at different rotational speeds can also occur.
- the object of the invention is to design a slip ring arrangement in such a way that it ensures reliable electrical contact even in the event of strong short-term impacts or vibrations.
- this slip ring arrangement should be simple and inexpensive to manufacture, and should have a long service life and reliability.
- a slip ring arrangement has a sliding track and at least two mechanically separate brush blocks (also called brush holders) with brushes.
- at least one wire brush is electrically connected to one another on at least two separate brush blocks.
- one brush can be connected to each other for a signal path on two separate brush blocks.
- a different number of Brushes are connected to each other per brush block.
- one brush on one brush block can be connected to two brushes on another brush block.
- several brush blocks can be combined. For example, one brush can be connected to each other on three different brush blocks.
- the brushes are metal wires and comprise at least one electrically conductive material. You preferably have a core made of a mechanically stable and resilient material, such as steel or brass, as well as an outer coating or casing made of an electrically highly conductive and preferably corrosion-resistant material, such as gold or a gold alloy.
- the brush blocks are preferably designed as printed circuit boards.
- the guide track preferably has at least one V-groove for guiding the brushes.
- V-groove for guiding the brushes.
- grinding tracks with other geometries can also be used. These can be, for example, flat slideways or slideways with U-shaped grooves (semicircular, elliptical).
- the brushes can also run on different grinding tracks, which have, for example, different track diameters and thus different speeds, different surface structures and / or coatings.
- Wire brushes with different wire geometries can have different cross sections, such as round, elliptical or also rectangular or square.
- the wires can also have different surfaces and / or different coatings. They could be made of different materials which, for example, have different vibration properties due to different density and / or different mechanical damping.
- wire brushes of the different brush blocks run on different tracks, particularly preferably in different V-grooves.
- At least one brush block is mounted in a vibration-damped manner.
- the brush blocks are preferably mounted with different vibration damping. So you prefer different damping values and / or different resonance frequencies.
- At least two brush blocks advantageously have different shapes. As a result, the vibration properties of these brush blocks are different.
- a plurality of brush blocks which are electrically connected to one another are arranged at equal intervals around the grinding track.
- 3 brush blocks can be staggered by 120 degrees or 4 brush blocks can be staggered by 90 degrees. This can further increase the shock and vibration resistance.
- a plurality of brush blocks which are electrically connected to one another, are arranged at different intervals around the grinding track.
- 3 brush blocks can be offset by 90, 120 and 150 degrees. This also further increases the shock and vibration resistance.
- At least one wire brush has at least one partial sheathing in order to change the vibration properties.
- This casing can be made of an elastic material, for example. It is preferably arranged outside the area that is in contact with the sliding track. Different wire brushes on different brush blocks particularly preferably have different types of sheathing. It is particularly favorable if, for example, a first contact wire has a sheathing on a first brush block, while a second contact wire has no sheathing on a second brush block.
- the ends of the contact wires protrude significantly beyond the point of contact with the contact track.
- the protruding length is in a range between 0.2-2 times the length between the brush block and the point of contact with the grinding track.
- the projecting end is particularly preferably bent away from the slip ring.
- the slip ring arrangement has a slip ring body 10 with a sliding track and a first brush block 20 and a second brush block 30.
- the first brush block 20 has a first wire brush with a first leg 21 and a second leg 22.
- the second brush block 30 has a second wire brush with a first leg 31 and a second leg 32.
- both legs are each connected to one another in an electrically conductive manner.
- Two legs are drawn here with wire brushes as an example, because they are used particularly often.
- the invention can also be implemented with wire brushes with only one leg 21 or 22. Combinations would also be conceivable.
- the first wire brush could have only one leg 21, while the second wire brush had two legs 31, 32.
- first brush and the second brush are electrically conductively connected to one another via an electrical connection 90.
- the embodiment shown here with two brush blocks arranged opposite one another is particularly advantageous. If, for example, the slip ring body 10 is moved downward by an impact, the first wire brush with its legs 21 and 22 loses contact because the slip ring body moves away from the wire brush. By the same However, he moves toward the second wire brush with her legs 31 and 32 located below. The contact remains, only the contact pressure increases.
- FIG. 2 an arrangement according to the invention is shown in a side view.
- a first sliding track 11 and a second sliding track 12 are located on the slip ring body 10.
- the first wire brush in which only the first leg 21 is shown here, runs in the second sliding track 12.
- the second wire brush in which only the first one is shown in the drawing Leg 31 is shown, runs in the first slideway 11.
- Both slideways (not shown here) are electrically connected to each other. It is also possible to use more than two grinding tracks for a corresponding number of wire brushes, in which case all tracks are electrically connected to one another. In principle, the first wire brush and the second wire brush could also run in the same grinding path.
- the division into two slideways takes up more space and costs more, but it offers greater reliability. This means that electricity can still be transmitted here, even if a slideway is mechanically damaged, for example.
- FIG 3 a further arrangement with different wire brushes is shown.
- first wire brush On the first brush block 20 there is a first wire brush, in which only the first leg 21 is shown in the drawing.
- the wire diameter of this wire brush is larger than the wire diameter of the second and third wire brush, which are arranged on the second brush block and are represented here by their legs 31 and 32.
- the second and third wire brushes are electrically connected to the first wire brush via electrical connection 90.
- the different wire diameters of the wire brushes result in different resonance frequencies as well as different damping and thus an increased insensitivity to vibrations.

Description
-
- In
- In
