Abstract

Bei einem Walzengehäuse (1) für eine mit Werkzeugen versehene, um eine Walzenachse (6) rotierende Arbeitswalze (8) einer in einer Arbeitsrichtung (48) bewegbaren Baumaschine (2) oder Abbaumaschine zum Abarbeiten von Fräsgut, mit einem Gehäusemantel, der die Arbeitswalze (8) umfangsmäßig zumindest teilweise umgibt, und mit mindestens einer radial außerhalb des Gehäusemantels angeordneten Überwachungseinrichtung, die den Zustand der Arbeitswalze (8) oder deren Werkzeuge inspiziert, ist vorgesehen, dass mindestens eine Inspektionsöffnung für jede Überwachungseinrichtung in dem Gehäusemantel angeordnet ist, und dass ein Teilstrom des Fräsgutes während des Fräsbetriebes durch die mindestens eine Inspektionsöffnung hindurchtritt und Leiteinrichtungen den Teilstrom in Radialrichtung hinter dem Gehäusemantel in Arbeitsrichtung vor oder hinter die Arbeitswalze (8) leiten.
