Abstract
L'invention concerne un bloc cathodique pour une cellule électrolytique d'aluminium, en particulier à base de carbone et/ou de graphite, comprenant au moins une rainure située sur un des côtés du bloc cathodique et s'étendant dans la direction longitudinale de ce bloc pour recevoir une barre omnibus. Au moins un segment de la face supérieure du côté du bloc cathodique, opposé au côté comportant ladite rainure, vu en coupe transversale du bloc cathodique, est incurvé vers l'extérieur en forme d'arc. Le sommet du segment incurvé vers l'extérieur en forme d'arc est situé au-dessus de la rainure, par rapport à la direction perpendiculaire au côté comportant ladite rainure, vu en coupe transversale du bloc cathodique. En outre, l'invention concerne un bloc cathodique pour une cellule électrolytique d'aluminium, en particulier à base de carbone et/ou de graphite, présentant une face supérieure en forme de cuvette, vue en coupe longitudinale du bloc cathodique. La cuvette comprend deux zones de bordure et, vue en coupe longitudinale du bloc cathodique, une zone de fond située entre les zones de bordure et abaissée par rapport aux zones de bordure. Entre les deux zones de bordure et la zone de fond se trouve une zone de paroi latérale reliant la zone de bordure correspondante et la zone de fond. Au moins une des deux zones de liaison situées entre les zones de bordure et les zones de paroi latérale et/ou au moins une des deux zones de liaison situées entre la zone de fond et les zones de paroi latérale est/sont incurvées en forme d'arc, le segment incurvé en forme d'arc présentant une longueur supérieure à 2 cm.
