Abstract

L'invention concerne une cage de contention pour parage du pied d'animaux, notamment de bétail. La cage de contention est construite autour de quatre poteaux d'angle verticaux, dont deux poteaux d'angle avant aux extrémités avant des animaux et deux poteaux d'angle arrière aux extrémités arrière des animaux. La cage de contention comprend un plancher (12) et une porte d'extrémité arrière (20); au moins un, de préférence deux supports de pattes avant réglables (1) et au moins un support de patte arrière réglable (21). L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'une cage de contention pour parage du pied du bétail, notamment des vaches laitières. Grâce à l'invention, le personnel de parage du pied n'a plus besoin de mettre les bras au-dessous des animaux soumis à parage du pied, ce qui réduit au minimum le risque de blessures résultant des ruades des animaux.
