Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a tactile reading lamp used to illuminate a given area such as a reading corner.
  • a reading lamp is a lamp arranged on a wall that may be a wall, a ceiling or any other solid plane such as a headboard, a bedside table, etc.
  • a tactile reading lamp comprises a lighting head carried by a hose. The user can then manipulate the hose to position the read head exactly on the reading object.
  • Bedside lamps with touch-sensitive metal parts are known. These lamps can be turned on or off by touching a metal part.
  • the static electricity carried by the finger makes it possible to send a control signal to an electronic circuit which manages the switching on and off of the lamp.
  • these lamps are large bedside lamps and not dedicated to targeted lighting.
  • the document DE102011121965 discloses a desk lamp having a lighting head, an articulated support and a clamping foot.
  • the present invention relates to a new reading lamp for which the touch control is certain and effectively reproducible.
  • the present invention also relates to a tactile reader simple to install.
  • Another object of the invention is a reading lamp with an adaptable light intensity.
  • the reading lamp according to the invention advantageously has a touch control directly on the lighting head. All the electronics are integrated in the lighting head as well as capacitive sensors for controlling the light-emitting diodes.
  • the capacitive sensors make it possible to detect the presence for example of a finger on a given area of the control plate.
  • Capacitive sensor technology is a robust and efficient technology. In the present invention, this technology is used in the sensors and the microcontroller in the lighting head.
  • the controls are clearly arranged on the lighting head, preferably at the rear of the light head that is to say the opposite side of the light emitting diodes.
  • the light-emitting diodes are of variable control type. These are so-called “dimmable” diodes in the English language.
  • the control plate and the capacitive sensors are adapted to control the light-emitting diodes by varying the light intensity.
  • at least three capacitive sensors are respectively provided to increase the luminous intensity, to decrease the light intensity and to turn on and off the light-emitting diodes.
  • Other embodiments may be provided as for example several capacitive sensors for detecting a gesture made on the control plate, this gesture may be the sliding of a finger in one direction or in another direction to specify the increase or decrease intensity.
  • Orders can therefore be by discreet contact or by gestural contact.
  • control plate is a plastic or glass plate on which control symbols are written; the capacitive sensors being arranged below these control symbols.
  • the electronic circuit is made on a printed circuit board of dimensions less than 7cm * 2.5cm of sides. All electronics are integrated into this circuit board.
  • the dimensions thus mentioned were defined by the inventors because they make it possible to respond to electronic constraints (containing all the electronics) and to the constraints of use (sufficiently small to be used as a reader).
  • the electronic card is rectangular in shape but may be of another shape such as square or circular. It is adapted to the general shape of a section of the lighting head which may be generally rectangular, generally square or generally circular.
  • a generally rectangular shape is for example a shape having two straight and parallel sides and two other rounded convex or concave sides.
  • the device according to the invention is a wall lamp which is intended to be recessed or fixed to a wall. All the electronics being in the lighting head, the weight of the assembly composed by the hose and the lighting head can be consequent and it is then essential to have an effective fastening means.
  • the fixing device comprises a hollow bolt capable of being secured to the plate of overlap and coming into threaded engagement in the base of the hose; the cover plate having a hole at the location of the recess.
  • hollow bolt is meant a bolt having a passage along the axis of revolution, passing through the bolt from side to side. This recess is intended to pass the power wiring.
  • the cover plate is usually a plate to cover a junction box embedded in a wall. But it can also be any other plate associated with a housing or not. This plate is still intended to be securely fixed directly or not to a wall.
  • the wall can be a wall, a headboard, the plan of a table, a ceiling, ...
  • the hollow bolt may comprise a head, the body of the hollow bolt being intended to be inserted into the hole made in the cover plate so that the threaded portion of the hollow bolt engages with the base of the hose and that the plate cover is sandwiched between the base of the hose and the head of the hollow bolt.
  • the bolt may also be inserted into the hole of the cover plate by screwing onto a thread on the wall of the hole, or the body of the bolt may simply pass through the hole without constraint.
  • the hollow bolt is crimped with the cover plate.
  • the bolt is securely and previously secured to the cover plate.
  • the various embodiments using the hollow bolt allow a strong and effective fixation of the hose. Therefore, it is the cover plate that supports the entire weight of the hose and the light head.
  • the cover plate we can consider screws for screwing the cover plate to a junction box or a wall. In such a case, the screws are visible on the visible face of the cover plate.
  • the plate covering may comprise tulips or fasteners disposed on the hidden face of the cover plate and intended to engage with complementary fasteners integral with the wall.
  • the power cable from the light head can be connected to the mains power supply or via a transformer through a domino.
  • the installer will therefore have the task of connecting the power cables by hand holding the assembly including the cover plate, the hose and the light head. The operation can be tricky.
  • the fixing device may further comprise a male jack connected to the hollow bolt on the opposite side to the base of the hose, this male jack being connected to the cables. supply from the electronic circuit through the hose, the hose base and the hollow bolt.
  • the fixing device may further comprise a support intended to be fixed to a wall, directly or via a connection box, this support comprising a popular female jack for removably receiving the male jack when placing in place of the cover plate.
  • the installer first connects the female jack to the mains or to a transformer.
  • This female jack being integrated removably or not to the support, the assembly comprising the support and the female jack is firmly attached to the wall or the junction box.
  • This operation can be performed without having the cover plate and the hose in the hand.
  • the installer can install the hose and the male jack on the cover plate by means of the hollow bolt.
  • the cover plate is installed in its slot by plugging the male jack into the female jack.
  • the support may further comprise eyelets designed to receive fastening tulips fixed on the hidden face. of the cover plate.
  • the support must be firmly fixed to the wall. This support performs a dual function of support for the jacks and support for the cover plate.
  • a tactile reading lamp according to the invention generally represented by the reference 1.
  • This applies comprises a lighting head 2 carried by a hose 3.
  • the base 4 allows to fix the hose to the wall 7 which is a wall such as a wall, ceiling or part of a piece of furniture. More specifically, the base 4 is fixed to a cover plate 5 which covers a connection box 6 embedded in the wall 7. The cover plate can be securely fixed to the connection box 6 or can be fixed directly to the wall 7.
  • the junction box is intended for fixing and for the arrival of the power supply coming from the mains.
  • Such a tactile reading light is preferably used for individual reading on a sofa or on a bed, the light emanating from the reading light directly illuminating the reading document.
  • This light is a light that is directed towards this document. In the illustration of the figure 1 the light would be directed downwards and control areas would be placed on the upper face of the lighting head.
  • the figure 2 illustrates the top of the lighting head and there are three control areas: a first zone symbolized by a "+” to control the increase in light power by pressing or touching; a second zone symbolized by a “-” making it possible to control the fall of the light power by pressing or touching; and a third zone disposed between the first two and symbolized by a stop / start sign making it possible to control the switching on or off of the reading light by pressing or by touching.
  • the three symbols are arranged in an aligned fashion, but they may be arranged differently and may in particular symbolize gestures rather than supports or touches.
  • the lighting head presents on the figure 2 a flared shape.
  • the control face and the lighting face are two opposite sides but of identical shape, in this case two parallel straight lines closed on each side by concave arches.
  • the two faces are spaced from each other by about 1.8 cm, the control face being of smaller dimensions, which allows generates the flared shape from the control face to the lighting face.
  • the figure 3 illustrates some internal components of the light head.
  • the control plate 9 which constitutes the control face. This is for example a plastic plate on which the control symbols are printed.
  • Each symbol is arranged directly above a capacitive sensor 10, 11, 12 capable of transmitting a control signal to an electronic circuit 13 equipped with a microcontroller 14.
  • each control zone is associated with a capacitive sensor which generates a control signal in response to a touch or touch of the user on that control area.
  • control signals are then processed by the microcontroller 14 which controls a plurality of light-emitting diodes 15 capable of generating light towards the illumination face formed by a transparent glass or plastic slide 16.
  • the electronic circuit 13 is powered by means of a power cable 17, ideally two wires, providing a voltage of 12V and a current of 5 amperes.
  • the connector 18 disposed on the electronic circuit allows the connection of the power cable 17.
  • the power cable passes inside the hose and exits through the base 4 of the hose.
  • FIG 4 there is shown a particular embodiment in which a support is used in the fixing device of the reading lamp according to the invention.
  • a support is used in the fixing device of the reading lamp according to the invention.
  • the cover plate is shown only partially so as to glimpse the support 19 disposed on the hidden side of the cover plate 5.
  • This support 19 allows in particular to connect electrically by a cable 21 the reading lamp to a transformer 20 which is itself connected to a power supply cable 22 at 220 volts.
  • the support 19 is designed to be firmly fixed to the connection box 6 and / or to the wall 7 by means of screws or nails 23 represented on the figure 5 .
  • figure 5 illustrates an exploded view of the support 19, the female jack 24 and nails 23 fixing the support 19.
  • This support is a die with a hole 26 in front, this hole to access the female jack 24 which is inserted firmly at the rear of the support 19.
  • Two shoulders are formed on two opposite sides of the facade with the hole 26. At each shoulder, a passage, a hole or an eyelet 27, 28 is formed.
  • the support is thus a die with three holes in front, a central hole 26 and two lateral holes 27, 28 arranged on each side on shoulders.
  • the support comprises two retaining hooks for the nails 23 and a female jack 24 whose slot is arranged opposite the hole 26.
  • the rear of the female jack 24 is intended to be connected to the cable. feeding 21.
  • a cover plate 5 is used in which there is a fixing hole 29.
  • the base 4 is placed facing the hole 29 on the visible side of the cover plate.
  • a hollow bolt 30 is advantageously used which is placed in the hole 29 but on the hidden side of the cover plate 5 so that the head of the hollow bolt 30 comes into abutment on the hidden face of the cover plate ( support side 19) while the body of the hollow bolt 30 passes through the hole 29.
  • the base 4 of the hose 3 engages the body of the hollow bolt 30.
  • the base 4 is a hollow cylinder with a thread made on its inner wall.
  • the outer dimensions of the base 4 and the head of the hollow bolt 30 are such that the cover plate 5 is sandwiched between these two elements 4 and 30. These external dimensions are therefore greater than the dimension of the hole 29, in particular its diameter. diameter.
  • FIG. 6a is a side view where one distinguishes the hexagonal head 31 and the body 32 with its thread.
  • Fig. 6b is a sectional view showing the recess 33 passing through the bolt in its axis of revolution. This recess 33 also visible in a view from above as illustrated on the Figure 6c .
  • This hollow bolt has a hexagonal head for screwing it into the base 4, but we can consider a circular head or other equipped with means to screw the bolt or in any case to maintain fixed when screwing the base.
  • Such means may be a protuberance or slot for introducing a screwdriver or other holding or clamping member.
  • Tulips (or fasteners) 35 and 36 are also provided on the underside of the cover plate 5. These tulips are crimped and arranged to respectively engage the lateral holes 27 and 28.
  • the wall attachment and the electrical connection are obtained in a single gesture.
