- Procédé pour faire fonctionner un appareil ménager (1) utilisant de l'eau, notamment un lave-vaisselle, comportant un compartiment de lavage (4) pour laver des articles à laver formé par une cuve de lavage (2) et une porte pivotante (3) et un module de porte (13) pour ouvrir et fermer automatiquement la porte (3), le procédé comprenant :la commande (S1), au moyen d'un dispositif de commande (12), du module de porte (13) pour fermer la porte (3) dans le cas d'une présence détectée d'un utilisateur dans une zone déterminée devant l'appareil ménager (1), etla commande (S2), au moyen du dispositif de commande (12), du module de porte (13) pour ouvrir la porte (3) dans le cas d'une absence détectée de l'utilisateur dans la zone déterminée,dans lequel le dispositif de commande (12) commande le module de porte (13), en présence d'un premier niveau de signal (D1) d'un signal de détection (D) qui indique la présence de l'utilisateur dans la zone déterminée, pour que celui-ci (13) ferme la porte (3), et commande le module de porte (13), en présence d'un second niveau de signal (D2) du signal de détection (D) qui indique l'absence de l'utilisateur dans la zone déterminée, pour que celui-ci (13) ouvre la porte (3).
