Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for a shower toilet.
  • a shower toilet generally has a shower arm that can be extended and/or pivoted into the toilet bowl.
  • the shower arm is connected to a water tank. Water from the water tank can be fed to the shower arm by means of a pump.
  • a water supply device for a shower toilet which includes a water tank whose fill level is controlled by means of a solenoid valve.
  • a solenoid valve In the event of a fault in the solenoid valve, when the water supply line cannot be closed or cannot be closed completely, the continuous flow of water into the tank can be interrupted by the user or maintenance personnel by means of a shut-off valve.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a device which automatically and reliably prevents the water tank from overflowing.
  • the invention solves the problem with a device that has the features according to claim 1, a use of this device in a shower toilet with a shower function according to claim 5 8- and a method for preventing the water tank from overflowing in a shower toilet claim 6.
  • the measurement of the water flow through the individual valves takes place either directly (by means of a flow sensor, e.g. impeller sensor or an inductive flow meter) or indirectly (by measuring the water level in the water tank or by measuring time [ie if the predetermined water level is not reached within a predetermined time with one closed and one open water valve). , the closed valve is tight]).
  • a flow sensor e.g. impeller sensor or an inductive flow meter
  • the valves are solenoid valves.
  • the device includes a heater for heating the water.
  • the water tank can be heated.
  • the device is used in a shower toilet with a shower function.
  • the water tank is emptied according to step f1) by the water flowing out through the shower arm 9 without the shower function being actuated.
  • valves are cleaned by completely emptying the water tank (by pump / via sensor) and then cleaning the dirty valve by opening the non-dirty valve and repeatedly opening and closing the dirty valve so that dirt and/or lime particles are flushed out will.
  • This process can be activated as a cleaning program manually (by the user) or automatically (by control when a leak is detected in one of the valves).
  • the shower function is released when it is determined that the tightness of the first valve has been restored in accordance with step k1).
  • the shower function remains blocked if a leak in the first valve is detected according to step k1).
  • the steps for cleaning the first valve are carried out a second time if a leak in the first valve is determined in accordance with step k1).
  • the cleaning function is unsuccessful after multiple cleaning processes, i.e. if the affected valve remains leaky, it can be blocked by the controller (automatically or manually). In this case, the leaking valve must be repaired by a technician (by cleaning or replacing the valve).
  • the water tank is emptied according to step f2) by a user actuating the shower function of the shower toilet.
  • the shower function is released when it is determined that the second valve is tight again in accordance with step r2).
  • step r2 if the second valve is found to be leaking, according to step r2), the steps for cleaning the leaking second valve [steps n2) to s2)] are carried out again.
  • the water tank is emptied when the tightness of the valves is determined by actuating the shower function of the shower toilet.
  • the one in the 1 shows a shower toilet with a water tank 2 with an inlet and an outlet opening for the entry and exit of the fresh water, with a fresh water inlet 1, by means of which the water tank 2 is filled with fresh water, with the outlet opening of the Water tanks 2 associated shower arm 9 and a controller 7.
  • the fresh water inlet is equipped with a first valve 3 and a second valve 4, which are connected in series and controlled by the controller 7.
  • the water tank 2 includes a heater 8 by means of which the water in the water tank 2 can be brought to a desired temperature.
  • the water tank 2 is equipped with a sensor which is intended for measuring the water level in the water tank 2 .
  • the water level in the water tank 2 is measured with the fresh water inlet 1 open until a predetermined first quantity 6 of the water is present in the water tank 2 .
  • the sensor sends a corresponding signal to the controller 7, so that the first valve 3 is closed by the controller 7.
  • the water level in the water tank 2 is measured again to determine whether the closed first valve 3 is tight or not tight.
  • the closed first valve 3 If the closed first valve 3 is leaking, the water continues to flow through the fresh water inlet 1 into the water tank 2, with the water level in the water tank 2 rising.
  • the increase in the water level in the water tank 2 by a further predetermined second quantity 5 of water is detected using a further sensor, with a corresponding signal being sent from the sensor to the controller 7 .
  • the leakage of the closed first valve 3 is determined.
  • the water supply is interrupted by closing the second valve 4 so that the water tank 2 is no longer filled with water in order to prevent the water tank 2 from overflowing.
  • the first valve 3 - closed after reaching the water level corresponding to the predetermined first quantity 6 of water - is tight, the water inflow into the water tank 2 is interrupted, so that the water level in the water tank 2 remains unchanged.
  • the tightness of the closed first valve 3 is detected in that the water level corresponding to the predetermined second quantity 5 of water is not reached within a predetermined time interval when the first valve 3 is closed, so that no corresponding signal is sent from the sensor to the controller 7 .
  • the cleaning process for the leaking first valve is carried out.
  • the cleaning process is triggered either automatically by the controller 7 when a leak in the first valve 3 is detected, or by a user manually actuating the controller 7 .
  • the water is emptied from the water tank 2 through the outlet opening connected to the shower arm 9 into the toilet bowl.
  • the water tank 2 is emptied by the water flowing out through the shower arm 9 without the shower function being actuated.
  • the emptying of the water tank 2 can be triggered either automatically by the controller 7 or by a user manually actuating the controller 7 .
  • the second valve 4 is opened so that fresh water flows into the water tank 2 through the fresh water inlet 1 and the two valves 3;4.
  • the alternating opening and closing of the first valve 3 and the water flowing through the open second valve 4 wash out dirt and/or limescale particles so that the tightness of the first valve 3 is restored.
  • the sensor sends a corresponding signal to the controller 7, whereupon the first valve 3, which has been detected as leaking, is closed by the controller 7.
  • the first valve 3 is closed and the second valve 4 is open, the water level in the water tank 2 is measured again to determine whether the tightness of the first valve 3 previously detected as leaky has been restored.
  • the process for determining the tightness of the first valve 3 corresponds to the process described above.
  • the cleaning process described above can be repeated a further time.
  • the shower function of the shower toilet is blocked. Closing the second valve prevents the water tank 2 from overflowing.
  • the second valve 4 When the tightness of the first valve 3 is determined (as described above) - whether originally or restored by the cleaning process - the second valve 4 is closed (after the water tank 2 has been emptied and then filled with the predetermined first quantity 6 of water) so that the Tightness or leakage of the second valve 4 can be checked.
  • the water tank 2 is emptied when the tightness of the first valve 3 is determined (usually) by a user actuating the shower function of the shower toilet without the tightness of the second valve 4 having to be checked beforehand. If the second valve 4 is not tight, the overflowing of the water tank 2 is prevented by the first valve 3, which is detected as being tight.
  • the first valve 3 is closed again after the water tank 2 has been emptied and then filled to the predetermined first quantity 6 of water, so that the tightness or leakage of the first valve 3 can be checked again.
  • the alternating checking of the tightness of the first valve 3 and the second valve 4 enables leaks in the valves 3; 4 to be determined immediately. If one of the valves 3; 4 is no longer sealed or cannot be restored, the shower function and the associated filling of the water tank 2 are blocked. Blocking the filling of the water tank 2 avoids the possibility of the water tank 2 overflowing if the other valve should also become leaky. If one of the valves is found to be leaking, the water tank 2 will be secured from overflowing by the other valve (which was found to be tight in the previous test).
  • the tightness of the valves 3; 4 cannot be checked by the sensor in the water tank 2, as described above, but by a sensor which is connected downstream of the two valves 3; 4 in the fresh water inlet.
  • the tightness of the first and second valves 3; 4 is not determined based on the changed water level, but by measuring the water flow with a closed and an open valve 3; 4.
