Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de fabriquer un élément de sécurité doté d'une image lenticulaire servant à représenter une ou plusieurs images cibles seulement visibles à partir de directions d'observation prédéfinies, images cibles dont les motifs sont formés par des parties métalliques et des parties démétallisées contrastées reconnaissables visuellement d'une couche à motifs. Selon le procédé, - une image lenticulaire comprenant un réseau lenticulaire constitué d'une pluralité de microlentilles (34) et d'une couche à motifs (40) métallique disposée à distance du réseau lenticulaire est produite, - l'effet réfractif des microlentilles (34) définissant un plan focal et la couche à motifs (40) métallique étant disposée sensiblement dans ce plan focal, - une largeur de ligne pour les parties (42) démétallisées à produire dans la couche à motifs (40) métallique est sélectionnée, - une source laser de marquage présentant une longueur d'onde de laser λ est sélectionnée de telle sorte que la résolution D(λ) des microlentilles de l'image lenticulaire à la longueur d'onde de laser λ sélectionnée corresponde sensiblement à la largeur de ligne des parties (42) démétallisées à produire, et - la couche à motifs (40) métallique est exposée au rayonnement laser de la source laser de marquage à travers les microlentilles (34), afin de produire des parties (42) démétallisées dans la couche à motifs métallique.
