Movement of the piston element 15 by hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic fluid causes the tension bar 12 to pull the plunger 8 against the spring force of the pressing spring 11 to move the clamping shoe 4 from the clamping position I ( Figure 9 ) to the release position II ( Figure 10 ).

  • the four hydraulic cylinder means are connected in series so that the hydraulic fluid flows through all four hydraulic power means 16.
  • Figures 9 and 10 show another embodiment wherein the cylinder portion 7 and the piston element 15 are both annular thereby forming one annular hydraulic power means 16 which is concentric in relation to the tension bar 12.

  • the pressing spring 11 consists of a plurality of conical disc spring washers 27, so-called Belleville washers, arranged as a stack.
  • the hydraulic power means 16 of the clamping devices 5 of both embodiments of Figure 5 and Figure 9 can be easily detached for service simply by removing the lock nut 23 and by unthreading the tension bar 12 from the end plate 10 whereby the frame element 6, plunger 8 and the pressing spring can remain in its place to press the clamping shoe 4 while the cylinder portion 7 and the piston element 15 are detached.
  • Figure 4 shows an electrode slipping device 1 designed for graphite electrode.
  • the lower holder ring 3 comprises a single clamping device 5 arranged to releasably press one clamping shoe 4 against the surface of the electrode E (shown in Figure 5 ).
  • the lower holder ring also comprises a single contact shoe 28 made of electrically conductive material for supplying current to the electrode.
  • the contact shoe 28 is arranged at an opposite side of the lower holder ring 3 in relation to the position of the clamping shoe 4.
  • the upper holder ring 2 is attached to a stationary structure 29.
  • the lower holder ring 3 is suspended from the stationary structure 29 by vertical hydraulic cylinders 30.

Claims (11)

  1. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode (1) pour une électrode en graphite comprenant une bague de support supérieure (2) et une bague de support inférieure (3), la bague de support supérieure et la bague de support inférieure contenant un ou plusieurs ensemble(s) de serrage comprenant un sabot de serrage (4) et un dispositif de serrage (5) agencés en coopération l'un avec l'autre de sorte que le sabot de serrage (4) puisse fonctionner entre une position de serrage (I), où une électrode (E) est serrée, et une position de libération (II), où l'électrode (E) est desserrée, et dans lequel le dispositif de serrage (5) comprend
    - un élément de cadre (6) pouvant être attaché de manière fixe à une bague de support (2, 3) pour être fixe par rapport à la bague de support,
    - une partie de cylindre (7), la partie de cylindre (7) étant agencée fixe par rapport à l'élément de cadre (6),
    - un plongeur (8), le plongeur (8) comprenant un boîtier cylindrique (9) et une plaque d'extrémité (10) agencée pour s'engager avec le sabot de serrage (4),
    - un ressort de pression (11) agencé à l'intérieur du boîtier cylindrique (9) pour agir entre l'élément de cadre (6) et le plongeur (8), pour pousser le plongeur (8) vers le sabot de serrage (4) et pour presser le sabot de serrage (4) contre l'électrode (E),
    - une barre de tension (12) ayant une première extrémité (13) attachée de manière amovible à la plaque d'extrémité (10) du plongeur (8), et une deuxième extrémité (14),
    - un élément de piston (15) agencé de manière mobile à l'intérieur de la partie de cylindre (7) pour former un moyen de puissance hydraulique (16) dans lequel l'élément de piston peut être déplacé par la pression hydraulique d'un fluide hydraulique qui est agencé pour être guidé vers un espace entre l'élément de piston (15) et la partie de cylindre (7), moyennant quoi le déplacement de l'élément de piston par la pression hydraulique du fluide hydraulique amène la barre de tension à tirer le piston (8) contre la force de ressort du ressort de pression (11) pour déplacer le sabot de serrage (4) de la position de serrage (I) à la position de libération (II), et un sabot de contact (28) réalisé en un matériau électroconducteur pour alimenter en courant l'électrode,
    caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de serrage (5) comprend une seule et unique barre de tension (12) agencée de manière centrale par rapport à l'élément de cadre (6), au plongeur (8), au ressort de pression (11) et à l'élément de piston (15),
    et dans lequel la bague de support inférieure (3) comprend un seul dispositif de serrage (5) agencé pour presser de manière amovible un sabot de serrage (4) contre la surface de l'électrode (E), et le sabot de contact (28) étant agencé d'un côté opposé de la bague de support inférieure (3) par rapport à la position du sabot de serrage (4).
  2. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'élément de cadre (6), le plongeur (8) et le ressort de pression (11) ont chacun un trou central (17, 18, 19) pour recevoir à l'intérieur la barre de tension (12).
  3. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que la plaque d'extrémité (10) présente un trou central (19) ayant un filetage intérieur (20), et en ce que la première extrémité (13) de la barre de tension (12) présente un premier filetage extérieur (21) vissé sur le filetage intérieur (20) de la plaque d'extrémité (10).
  4. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que la deuxième extrémité (14) de la barre de tension (12) présente un deuxième filetage extérieur (22) sur lequel est vissé un écrou de blocage (23).
  5. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de serrage (5) comprend deux parties de cylindre (7) ou plus et des éléments de piston (15) disposés radialement autour de la barre de tension (12) pour former deux moyens de puissance hydraulique (16) ou plus autour de la barre de tension.
  6. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de serrage (5) comprend trois ou quatre parties de cylindre (7) et des éléments de piston (15) disposés radialement autour de la barre de tension (12) pour former trois ou quatre moyens de puissance hydraulique (16) autour de la barre de tension.
  7. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon la revendication 5 ou 6, caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de serrage comprend une deuxième plaque d'extrémité (24) à laquelle sont attachés les éléments de piston (15), la deuxième plaque d'extrémité (24) comprenant des entrées (25) et des sorties (26) pour guider le fluide hydraulique vers et depuis les deux moyens de puissance hydraulique (16) ou plus.
  8. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que la partie de cylindre (7) et l'élément de piston (15) sont tous deux annulaires formant ainsi un moyen de puissance hydraulique annulaire (16) qui est concentrique par rapport à la barre de tension (12).
  9. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon la revendication 8, caractérisé en ce que l'élément de cadre (6) comprend une entrée (25) et une sortie (26) pour guider le fluide hydraulique vers et depuis le moyen de puissance hydraulique annulaire (16).
  10. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9, caractérisé en ce que le ressort de pression (11) est constitué d'une pluralité de rondelles de ressort à disque coniques (27).
  11. Dispositif de glissement d'électrode selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 10, caractérisé en ce que la bague de support supérieure (2) est attachée à une structure fixe (29), et en ce que la bague de support inférieure (3) est suspendue à la structure fixe (29) par des vérins hydrauliques verticaux (30).
