If available, a pair of users is matched for transaction - two users may in preferred embodiments opt for or positively choose one another - and the transaction window 32 is devisated by the remote server 6, with both users being alerted via their respective devices 2, 4 of the inauguration of the said transaction.
  • the command which triggers the transaction can be done in an unsynchronised manner, with the remote server 6 processing the commands of the two users and presenting the results of the interaction.
  • the two users In order for a successful interaction to take place, it is only necessary for the two users to submit one of the available commands to remote server 6 after the start of the window 32 and before the end of the window 32, although in preferred embodiments, the window 32 will be closed by the remote sever 6 shortly after sufficient commands have been made.
  • the commands can be inputted in any known way, including, but not limited to, touching a touchscreen, pressing a key or button, making a vocal command, making a gesture or similar movement. It will in the future be possible to make such commands via facial gesture, micro-expression or subsequently thought.
  • the system further comprises a first gate 40 and a second gate 42, wherein said first gate 40 is, in use, operable by a first user and said second gate 42 is operable by a second user.
  • each of said first and second gates 40, 42 has three active states, namely state X, state Y and state Z. States X, Y are Z are functionally identical for the first gate 40 and for the second gate 42.
  • the user of each of said first and second gates 40, 42 is able to select and choose the desired state of his gate; this selection of gate state is done via the submission of the commands.
  • the commands are reflected in the behaviour of the avatar 28, as displayed on the user's device, such that the user is provided with a clear idea as to what is happening in transactional terms.
  • the relative states of the respective gates 40, 42 govern whether or not a transaction is made. In preferred embodiments, if the status of the gates 42 matches X-X. Y-Y or Z-Z, no transaction is made. Table 1 below shows how, in a particularly preferred example, transactions are approved.
  • the gates 40, 42 will remain shut and no transaction will take place whilst in other instances, the gates will remain open and transaction is permitted to happen in a specific direction.
  • the nature of the transaction will be reflected in the behaviour of the avatars 28, with appropriate actions chosen by the remote server 6 from a sprite sheet 44 to be displayed.
  • the sprite sheets pictures are adjusted in specific order of json fail, and it is on that basis which the animation is created.
  • the system allows for transactions of increased complexity. It is possible for additional gates to be added in order to change the preconditions for the making of the transaction. In practical terms, four or five response options can be utilised - adding optional states V and W to the extant states X, Y and Z. Theoretically, further response options could be added. Extra response options, which are manifest in the system as additional gate states have the technical advantage of reducing the number of matching results which are likely to be produced, which according to the logic of the system 2, do not lead to a transaction.
  • an embodiment can comprise a system of outcomes wherein the choice of certain options will tend to produce either a positive or a negative outcome.
