Calculations have shown that it is particularly advantageous to place the unit(s) 11,11' around half a wave height below the ocean surface in relation to wave height and associated wavelength one wishes to dampen. An example of this will be that if the wave height one wishes to dampen is 8 metres, then it is advantageous to place the top of the base approximately 4 metres below the sea level 25. To achieve such a distance between the sea level 25 and base, the size of the base is adjusted accordingly.
