Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a thermos container which has at least one flat back cushion and a flat front cushion which extends in another plane above the back cushion and which are connected to one another on opposite side edges and on another side edge of the thermos container, are designed in one piece or via a connecting piece merge into one another, so that a cavity is formed between the back cushion and the front cushion, the back cushion and the front cushion each being formed from at least one bag and a fibrous material located in the at least one bag.
  • Thermal containers of this type are used to maintain the temperature of a packaged item introduced into the cavity over a specific period of time. With such thermal containers, the cooling or heating of the packaged goods placed in them can be maintained over a specific time within a specific temperature window. It is thus possible by means of such thermal containers, for example, to send frozen goods such as deep-frozen food or deep-frozen animal feed for up to 36 hours without the respective food or animal feed being damaged.
  • thermal containers In recent years, plastics have often been used to manufacture thermal containers. This is no longer justifiable from an ecological point of view. If natural substances were used to form thermal containers, the temperature duration was usually severely limited.
  • a double-walled bag in which an insulating material is introduced between an outer bag and a smaller inner bag inserted therein, each made of kraft paper, cardboard or cardboard.
  • This insulating material can be, inter alia, multi-ply crepe paper.
  • U.S. 2005/118366 A1 discloses a barrier structure used in a container and having the shape of an elliptical bubble, comprising a first membrane for reflecting electromagnetic radiation and one of the first membrane spaced apart but bonded at one end thereto, vapor impermeable second membrane between which is disposed a fibrous layer, such as a batting or non-woven layer of PET fibers and a binder.
  • the pamphlet DE 20 2016 100 510 U1 discloses an insulating packaging with an insulating cover with two double-walled side walls made of a flexible material, such as paper, which are materially connected to one another and into which an insulating material made of cellulose is introduced.
  • a cooling bag which has a fleece layer inserted between an outer skin and an inner skin, in which a water-storing granulate is introduced and which serves as a heat-insulating layer.
  • a thermal container which has at least one flat back cushion and a flat front cushion which extends in another plane above the back cushion and which are connected to one another on opposite side edges and on a further side edge of the thermal container or merge into one another via a connecting piece, so that a cavity is formed between the back cushion and the front cushion, the back cushion and the front cushion each being formed from at least one bag and a fibrous material located in the at least one bag, in which the at least one bag of the back cushion and also the at least one bag of the front cushion is made of a fleece made of thermoplastic material and the fibrous material is an individual layer or a stack of a large number of individual layers lying flat on top of one another and made of corrugated and/or zigzag-shaped or folded fibrous material, wherein the individual layer or each of the individual layers of the stack has a wave and/or zigzag height of ⁇ 0.3 mm.
  • the invention is suitable Thermal container as a cool bag.
  • the at least one object whose temperature is to be maintained can advantageously be placed in the cavity formed between the back cushion and the front cushion connected thereto. Thereafter, the cavity can be suitably sealed.
  • the fibrous material of the back cushion and the front cushion guarantees a particularly advantageous thermal insulation of the at least one object placed in the thermal container from the environment. Due to its structure, the fibrous material has a large number of air inclusions or air gaps, as a result of which the respective temperature can be maintained particularly well. It is thus even possible with the present invention, for example, to maintain cooling of a packaged item placed in the insulated container for up to 72 hours within a desired temperature window.
  • the air inclusions or air gaps are formed between the corrugations and/or folds. If a stack of corrugated and/or zigzag-shaped laid or folded individual layers is used to form the fibrous material, the corrugation and/or zigzag-shaped laying or folding of the individual layers means that each of the individual layers has a large number of peaks and valleys, with air in the valleys collects.
  • the corrugation and/or the zigzag configuration of the layering or folding is formed from the outset or can be designed in such a way that it is not identical from individual layer to individual layer and the individual layers are therefore not stacked on top of one another with a perfect fit or are pressed into one another, the Valleys of the individual layer above do not or not completely identically into the valleys of the individual layer below, so that an air gap is maintained in any case.
  • the special feature of the present invention is that the individual layer or each of the individual layers has a wave and/or zigzag height of ⁇ 0.3 mm, preferably ⁇ 0.4 mm, particularly preferably ⁇ 0.6 mm, in one Having embodiment of ⁇ 0.65 mm. This ensures that particularly large air inclusions or air gaps are formed between the superimposed individual layers of corrugated and/or zigzag-shaped or folded fiber material, which leads to a particularly high temperature retention capacity of the thermal container formed therewith.
  • This effect can be intensified if the fibrous material has fibrous flakes or fibrous powder. There is a lot of air between the fiber flakes or the particles of the fiber powder, which is used for thermal insulation.
  • the respective fibrous material cannot slip, on the one hand due to the individual layer or the multiplicity of individual layers lying one on top of the other and on the other hand due to the respective introduction into the bag or the compartment. This is because the bags form an envelope for the respective fibrous material, which leads to mechanical stabilization.
  • a number of at least 10 individual layers preferably 24, 28 or 32 individual layers, are preferably used as a multiplicity of individual layers lying one on top of the other. These individual layers are doubled and cut to the desired width depending on the size of the pillow.
  • the pouch also has a protective function for the fibrous material contained therein. It is also possible, for example, to introduce at least one cold pack into the bag.
  • a further advantage of the fibrous material used which can be a primary fibrous material such as paper, kraft paper, a chemical pulp, a mechanical pulp or a semi-chemical pulp, and/or a secondary fibrous material such as a fibrous material obtained from waste paper, is that it is a natural, material that is harmless to the environment, which is easily recyclable and already has low heat conduction and therefore good thermal insulation properties.
  • the design of the fibrous material used leads to an advantageous softness and volume, which ensure that a packaged item can be safely stored and transported in the thermal container according to the invention.
  • the thermal container according to the invention can be easily stacked, but can also be used as a shopping bag.
  • the at least one bag of the back cushion as well as the at least one bag of the front cushion are made of a fleece made of thermoplastic material. Holes can be introduced into the fleece.
  • the at least one bag in the present invention is made of a fleece made of thermoplastic material, it offers good moisture protection for the fibrous material inside, which has good absorbency. This is particularly the case when the web is a spunbonded polypropylene web.
  • the at least one bag encases the fibrous material in the manner of a hose.
  • the thermal container according to the invention is particularly ecologically valuable if the corrugated and/or zigzag laid or folded fibrous material is made from cellulose wadding made from at least 90% recycled waste paper with waste paper qualities according to DIN EN 643.
  • the fibrous material can be prevented from slipping inside the bag if the at least one bag is fixed to the fibrous material with adhesive lines that are spaced apart from one another.
  • Synthetic hot-melt adhesive for example, can be used as the adhesive here. This can be applied in thin lines which, for example, have a spacing of 15 to 30 mm, preferably 20 mm.
  • the back cushion has a back cushion section that protrudes over the front cushion on one side or a closure flap is attached to the back cushion on one side, with the protruding back cushion section or the closure flap being able to be folded onto a surface of the front cushion to close the cavity of the thermal container and with can be connected directly or indirectly to it.
  • the protruding back cushion section or the closure flap are preferably made of the same material as the material of the at least one bag.
  • the at least one bag with the fibrous material introduced therein is preferably separated from a bag band having a plurality of such bags, and the protruding back cushion section or the closure flap is made of fleece made of thermoplastic material, which protrudes beyond a bag section containing the fibrous material .
  • the thermal container according to the invention can be used particularly well as a cool bag if at least one carrying handle and/or at least one closure means for closing the cavity is provided on the thermal container.
  • the side edges of the thermal container according to the invention are particularly stable if the back cushion and the front cushion are sewn and/or glued and/or pinched together on the opposite side edges of the thermal container.

  • the thermal container 1 can also be used to keep objects warm.
  • thermal container 1 is off figure 1 shown open with a packaged item 15 placed therein in a plan view.
  • the thermal container 1 has a flat back cushion 2 and a flat front cushion 3 .
  • the back cushion 2 is connected to the front cushion 3 at opposite side edges 4, 5 of the thermal container 1. In the illustrated embodiment, this connection is realized by seams 16, 17 running along the side edges 4, 5.
  • this connection can be made alone or in combination with the seams 16, 17 by gluing and/or squeezing the material.
  • the back cushion 2 and the front cushion 3 are formed from the same web of material designed in the form of a bag band.
  • the back cushion 2 is therefore formed in one piece with the front cushion 3 on another side edge 6 of the thermal container 1, so the material of the back cushion 2 merges directly into the material of the front cushion 3 at the side edge 6, which can form the bottom edge of a bag, for example.
  • the back cushion 2 and the front cushion 3 can also be formed separately and connected to one another at the side edge 6 . Furthermore, it is possible that in other embodiments of the present invention at least one piece of material is provided on the side edges 4, 5 and/or 6 between the back cushion 2 and the front cushion 3 and is connected to them.

  • a closure flap can also be attached to the back cushion 2 on one side.
  • the protruding back cushion portion 21 or the locking tab is closed as indicated by the arrow A in figure 2 is indicated schematically folded to close the cavity 7 on a surface of the front cushion 3 and directly or indirectly connected to it.
  • the overhanging back cushion section 21 or the closure flap can be glued to the front cushion 3 by means of adhesive lines.
  • adhesive nubs can also be used for this purpose.
  • the back cushion 2 and the front cushion 3 each have a bag 8 .
  • the bag 8 encloses a fibrous material 9 like a hose.
  • the bag 8 is formed around the fibrous material 9 over its entire circumference.
  • the fibrous material 9 is used, which in figure 3 is shown schematically in a side view that is not true to scale.
  • the fibrous material 9 consists of an individual layer 91 or of a stack of a large number of individual layers 91 lying flat on top of one another and made of corrugated and/or zigzag-shaped or folded fibrous material.
  • the special feature of the corrugated or zigzag laid or folded fiber material used here is that the waves and/or zigzags have a particularly high wave and/or zigzag height d of ⁇ 0.3 mm per individual layer 91.
  • the wave and/or zigzag height d is even greater, such as ⁇ 0.5 mm or even ⁇ 0.65 mm.
  • the wave and/or zigzag height d of 0.65 mm leads to an extensibility of 80% in the material used, which is cellulose wadding in the exemplary embodiment shown.
  • the mass per unit area of the corrugated and/or zigzag laid or folded fiber material used is 23 grams per square meter.
  • the corrugated and/or zigzag laid or folded fiber material 9 was produced in the following manner, but can also be produced in other embodiments of the invention in a different or modified manner: Pulp, preferably creped or non-creped tissue, for example recycled cellulose wadding from selected waste paper qualities according to DIN EN 643, was used as the fibrous material 9 .
  • the pulp used preferably, but not necessarily, has a grammage below 20 g/m 2 .
  • a wet pulping process and the removal of non-paper components can have been carried out on the fibrous material 9, but without additional bleaching, but these steps are optional. Thereafter, the corrugation or zigzag folding of the fibrous material 9 was carried out according to the following procedure: As in figure 4 As can be seen, the fibrous material 9 is unwound in a device 10 as a cellulose layer from a cellulose roll 22 at an unwinding speed v 1 . The fibrous material 9 is then guided, for example, through a gap in a pair of rollers between two transport rollers 23, 24 rotating in opposite directions. The rotational speed of the transport rollers 23, 24 can be adjusted separately from one another. After passing through the pair of rollers 23, 24, the fibrous material 9 is drawn off at a draw-off speed v 2 , ie transported further.
  • the fibrous material 9 is fed to the pair of rollers 23, 24 on a straight path.
  • the fibrous material 9 can also be fed to the pair of rollers 23, 24 in such a way that waves and/or folds are generated in the fibrous material 9 in a targeted manner even before the pair of rollers 23, 24.
  • the take-off speed v 2 is adjusted so that it is lower than the unwind speed v 1 .
  • the fibrous material 9 accumulates and forms folds and/or waves 90 in the further course of the device 10.
  • the take-off speed v 2 and/or the unwinding speed v 1 can also be varied in the course of the method.
  • individual layers 91 can be doubled to form a stack with 24, 28 or 32 individual layers 91, for example. This is preferably done on a laying machine.
  • the individual layers 91 typically lie on top of one another in the same layer production direction. However, since the corrugations and/or folds of the individual layers 91 are never exactly on top of one another, the stacking of the individual layers 91 on top of one another results in a correspondingly high stack height and at the same time a high stack volume.
  • the stack height can be, for example, about 15 mm for 24 individual layers 91, about 20 mm for 28 individual layers 91 and about 25 mm for 32 individual layers 91.
  • the embodiment shown consists of the bag 8 made of a polypropylene spunbonded nonwoven, with which the stack of the individual layers 91 is encased like a tube.
  • the polypropylene spun-bonded fleece ensures that the individual layers 91 are held together and, on the other hand, protection against moisture, for example against condensation.
  • the bag 8 is attached to the corrugated and/or folded fibrous material 9 as shown in FIG figure 1 shown schematically by means of spaced apart Lines 13 of hot melt adhesive.
  • these lines are spaced about 20 mm apart and run along the web of material from which the back cushion 2 and the front cushion 3 are formed.
