Definitions

  • the invention relates to a bag and a method and a device for producing a bag.
  • the second wall extends beyond the first wall in the bottom area, so that when the bottom is formed, the second wall with the area extending beyond the first wall lies directly on the first wall after folding. If the second wall is now connected to the first wall, for example by gluing, a durable and sufficiently sealed bottom is created.
  • the term "directly” means that there is a gap between the inside of the second layer and the outside.
  • the first layer only contains a fastening material, for example an adhesive or a double-sided adhesive film, such as double-sided tape, and no material that does not contribute to the connection of the second layer.
  • the WO 2013 127 590 A1 shows such bags as well as a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device therefor.
  • the US 143 321 A shows similar bags, but a partial area of the first wall includes openings through which parts of the second wall are connected to the first wall.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to propose a bag as well as a method and a device so that the bag is simpler in construction and manufacture.
  • a bag according to the invention which comprises the preamble features of claim 1, is characterized in that the end edges of the first and second walls lie one above the other or essentially one above the other.
  • essentially one above the other is meant that before the bottom is formed, the end edges lie one above the other, but can shift slightly when folded over by 180° and then no longer lie exactly one above the other. A slight, albeit barely perceptible, shift can of course also occur at the opening end of the bag when the bottom is folded over.
  • This development of the invention is particularly advantageous because the piece of tubing required for this, from which the bag is formed, can be easily separated from a tube.
  • a cutting tool that simultaneously cuts through the first wall and the second wall can simply be used to produce a bag according to the invention. This cutting can also take place when a tube has already been produced.
  • a known machine design can also be used in which the flat web is first perforated, the tube is then formed and then pieces of tube are torn off the tube.
  • a simple perforation tool can be used which creates a perforation that runs along a single straight line that runs transversely to the transport direction of the flat web - or even the tube.
  • parts of perforation tools are offset in the transport direction. The use of cutting tools enables the creation of a straight cut edge that is attractive, so that higher quality bags can be produced in this way.
  • the invention provides that parts of the partial surface of the second wall extend through the openings in the first wall. Parts of the partial surface of the second wall can be connected to the first through these openings. wall.
  • first wall and second wall do not imply any directionality. This means that the first wall can be positioned at the top or bottom during the manufacturing process, for example.
  • a bag according to the invention comprises paper or consists entirely of paper.
  • a bag according to the invention several openings are provided which are spaced a minimum distance from an end edge of the first wall and/or an end edge of the second wall.
  • An end edge is the end of the respective wall at the bottom end, with the end edge preferably running perpendicular to the side edge and lying in the plane of the respective wall.
  • the minimum distance can be at least 3 mm and helps to ensure that, particularly when applying an adhesive, it is not pushed beyond the end edge and thus leads to contamination of the production machine.
  • openings are evenly distributed over the partial surface of the first wall.
  • “Evenly distributed” means that two adjacent openings are evenly spaced. However, the openings after that can also be the same distance apart. This ensures that the second wall is in contact with the outside of the first wall and is connected to it over a large area. This increases the durability of the floor.
  • the surface area of all openings is at least 20%, in particular 30% and preferably at least 50% of the total surface area of the first partial surface.
  • the surface area is a maximum of 80%.
  • the partial surface of the second wall is connected to the first wall to a sufficiently large extent. Depending on the type of openings, this surface area can even be made variable.
  • the surface area can be larger than in the prior art, in which the surface area is limited to the partial surface by which the second wall projects beyond the first wall. In this way, the partial surface of the second wall can be connected particularly firmly to the first wall as required.
  • the openings are round or oval, i.e. have a round or oval edge.
  • square edges are also conceivable, but round or oval openings prevent the material of the partial surface of the first wall from tearing and causing damage.
  • the diameter of the openings can be a few millimeters to a few centimeters. In the case of an oval opening, diameter refers to the small radius.
  • the diameter can be from 1 mm, preferably 5 mm, to 5 cm, preferably up to 2 cm. With these diameters, a sufficient number of openings can be created for good durability without weakening the partial surface of the first wall too much.
  • Handle elements can comprise cutouts or incisions, i.e. represent handle holes.
  • the actual handle is formed by a user of the bag reaching through the incisions and folding over areas of the first wall and the second wall, with the folded over areas forming handle reinforcements.
  • Such cutouts or incisions can be made in the flat sheet, but can also be made after the tube has been formed or after the tube pieces have been separated. Cutting or punching is also possible after the bag has been finished. This type of handle element can be produced very easily and inexpensively.
  • handle elements can also be handles that are attached separately to the first and/or second wall.
  • Such handles can include, for example, cords or other ribbons, paper strips that are folded over one another several times, or plastic strips or ribbons.
  • the use of handles makes it possible to use the interior of a bag according to the invention completely or almost completely.
  • a bag with handles often appears to be of higher quality. Furthermore, it is often easier to grip.
  • Handles can be applied to the flat web and glued to it, for example with labels, cold glue or heat-activated glue (hot melt). This process can be carried out after perforations have been made. This process can also be carried out before perforations have been made. In this case, it is advantageous if the handles are in or on the finished bags are initially folded back so that they do not protrude beyond the open end of the bag. Folding beyond the end of the bag can then be done by grasping the bag. If the handles are arranged on the inside of the walls, they are initially completely in the filling space of the bag. If the handles are on the outside of the walls, they can even be attached after the tube has been formed, after the tube has been separated into tube pieces or even after the bottom has been formed.
  • cold glue heat-activated glue
  • the area of use of a bag according to the invention can be significantly increased by providing handle elements, since with such a bag even heavier objects can be easily carried by the user.
  • Handle elements can generally be provided with reinforcement elements, whereby the reinforcement elements cover and reinforce the edges in the case of punched-outs or cuts.
  • reinforcement elements can be applied to the ends of the handles and glued, for example.
  • Reinforcement elements can be used to distribute the flow of force introduced into the handle elements over a larger area of the walls and thus increase the load-bearing capacity.
  • side folds are provided between the first and second walls.
  • Such side folds also include the side edges which, according to claim 1, connect the first wall and the second wall to one another.
  • Side folds offer the advantage that the first wall and the second wall can be moved away from one another, so that the filling space is increased.
  • the bag with unfolded side folds forms a cuboid shape, whereby the bag can also be arranged upright when empty, so that filling the bag is made easier.
  • pre-creases can be introduced into the flat web.
  • Such pre-creases can be introduced into the first and/or second wall before the tube is formed.
  • these pre-creases are spaced from the later bottom edge by a dimension corresponding to the depth of the side folds.
  • areas of the side folds which are located between the partial surface of the first wall and the partial surface of the second wall also include openings.
  • the side fold walls can be glued to one another or the partial surface of the second wall can be glued to the side fold wall arranged directly on the partial surface of the first wall.
  • the openings in the side folds are at least partially congruent with at least one opening in the partial area of the first wall and/or at least some of the openings in the first side fold wall are at least partially congruent with at least one opening in the second side fold wall.
  • areas of the partial area of the second wall it is possible for areas of the partial area of the second wall to be connected to the first wall through the side fold walls and/or the partial area of the first wall. Consequently, the strength of the base of a bag with side folds can be further increased.
  • the method according to the invention is further characterized in that, in a further step, openings are made in the partial surface of the first wall, so that parts of the partial surface of the second wall can be brought into contact with and/or connected to the first wall when step d is carried out.
  • the bottom can be brought into direct contact with the first wall by folding the partial surface of the first wall and the partial surface of the second wall together.
  • at least the partial surface of the second wall, but preferably partial surfaces of the first and second walls, are attached to the first wall, for example glued.
  • the first wall is at least partially coated with an adhesive in a surface area which is in contact with the first and second walls after folding, and/or the partial area of the first wall, and consequently parts of the partial area of the second wall through the openings, before the end of the folding step.
  • the further step namely the introduction of openings in the Partial surface of the first wall, between steps a) and b).
  • the further step namely the introduction of openings in the Partial surface of the first wall, between steps a) and b).
  • the openings can be made without great effort.
  • the openings are made by punching and/or cutting out pieces of material.
  • a punching tool which can in particular comprise a rotating tool that carries punching elements.
  • a rotating tool can be driven in a rotatable manner, wherein during the punching period the peripheral speed corresponds to the transport speed of the flat web or at least essentially corresponds to it, so that, for example, no compression of or tears in the material web can occur.
  • the flat web can be guided over a counter roller while openings are being made.
  • the material that may be separated from the flat web when the openings are made can be removed using a suction device, for example.
  • the openings can be made by contactless cutting of pieces of material, in particular by laser cutting.
  • contactless cutting methods whereby laser cutting, i.e. applying a focused light beam to the cutting edges, has proven to be effective.
  • the advantage here is that a contactless cutting method reduces wear on a device for creating openings.
  • the Figure 1 shows a flat web 100 from which several bags according to the invention can be or are produced.
  • the web section 101 from which the tube section required to produce a bag is produced is marked by thick, dash-dotted lines 102 which run transversely to the transport direction T of the flat web 100.
  • the lines 102 thus represent dividing lines.
  • the representation of the flat web is preferably a view of the inner surfaces of the later walls of the bag.
  • the web section 101 is divided into the surface area 110, which forms the majority of the later first wall or completely the first wall, and the surface area 111, which forms the later second wall.
  • the surface areas 110 and 111 are delimited by the nearest, broken lines 103 or by the lines 104. Their meaning is described below.
  • the broken lines 103 and the dash-dotted lines 104 indicate the optional side folds, with the lines 103 forming the outer edges of a side fold and the dash-dotted lines 104 forming the inner edge of a side fold. In bags without side folds, the lines 103 are omitted and the lines 104 form the outer longitudinal edges of the bag.
  • the areas 105 and 105' on the longitudinal edges of the flat web 100 are the areas that overlap after the tube is formed and adhere to one another, for example by gluing.
  • the Figure 2 shows the same flat sheet 100 after two further processing steps have been carried out.
  • handle elements 200 can be seen. These handle elements 200 are shown as examples of separately applied handle elements. These can be applied to the later inner sides of the walls of the bag.
  • the handle elements 200 shown comprise handle strips 201 - preferably paper strips - which are folded in a U-shape.
  • the handle strips can consist of paper sections folded over themselves several times.
  • the handle strips 201 are attached to the flat sheet 100, preferably glued on with cold adhesive or hot melt adhesive, whereby parts of the handle strips can protrude beyond the trailing dividing line 102 of the later tube section, as shown. However, it is also conceivable that the handle strips are folded back on themselves so that they do not protrude beyond the dividing line 102.
  • the hose section it is possible for the hose section to be produced by cutting along the dividing lines 102 without damaging the grip strip.
  • the separation of hose sections by means of cutting is fundamentally possible - regardless of the Presence or design of the handle elements - conceivable within the scope of the present invention.
  • Another possibility is to introduce perforations along the dividing line 102 before or after the tube is formed, whereby no complete cut is made, but rather individual webs connect the individual later tube sections. These webs are severed by later tearing, whereby the desired tube sections are created.
  • a folded-back handle strip 201 can be folded out by the user of the later bag when it is used.
  • the Figure 2 also shows openings 203, which are preferably arranged, as can be seen, on an imaginary line transverse to the transport direction.
  • the openings 203 are arranged only on the later first wall 110 and optionally in the area of the later side folds, if these are provided.
  • the openings are arranged between the later front end of the tube section, which is formed by the dividing line 102, and the later folding edge 204.
  • the Figure 3 shows the web section 101 after the tube has been formed and after it has been separated.
  • the side folds shown which are optional, can be introduced into the flat web 100 at the same time as the tube is formed or afterwards, both of which are advantageous. However, it is also conceivable that the side folds are folded after the separation.
  • the web section further manufactured in this way already represents a bag 300, but without a finished bottom.
  • the outer edges 103 and the inner edges 104 of the side folds are also visible.
  • the openings 203 are particularly visible, and it is now clear from the figure that the openings are only arranged in the surface area 110 or in the side folds.
  • the openings in the side folds and the opening in the part of the surface area 110 that covers the side folds lie at least partially, in particular completely, on top of each other. In this way, the part of the surface area 111 that lies below the side folds can also be glued to the surface area 110 through the side folds.
  • the Figure 4 now shows, by way of example, the bottom 400 of the bag which has already been partially folded over the folded edge 204, with the surface 401 representing an adhesive application.
  • This adhesive application can, however, be applied to the area of the surface area 110 associated with the bottom.
  • the adhesive application can be applied over the entire area in which the folded bottom touches the first wall, or only to partial areas thereof.
  • the adhesive can only be applied to the partial areas in which the openings touch the first wall.
  • Adhesive is preferably applied together with the introduction of the folded edge 204.
  • an adhesive application strip and a folding edge knife can be attached together to a rotatable tool.
  • the Figure 5 now shows a finished bag 300.
  • the Figure 6 represents the sequence of a preferred method for producing a bag according to the invention.
  • a flat web is first provided.
  • the openings 203 are introduced into the flat web in this flat web.
  • transverse perforations are introduced into the flat web, which define the later separating edges 102.
  • the transverse perforation and the introduction of the openings can be carried out in the same station of a device for producing bags according to the invention. Bags can be arranged. For example, it is conceivable that a cross-perforation knife and punches for making the openings can be arranged together on a rotating element, for example a knife roller.
  • step 603 handle elements are produced, for example by a corresponding application unit in the device.
  • the tube is then formed in step 604, in particular with simultaneous folding of side folds.
  • step 605 the tube is separated into tube pieces.
  • step 606 the base is folded over and attached to the first wall of the bag. The bag is thus finished.
  • the Figure 7 shows a device 1 for producing bags.
  • the device 1 comprises an unwinding device 2, to which the flat web 100 is fed in the form of a roll 4.
  • the flat web 100 is fed via guide rollers 5 to the cross-cutting station 6 or perforating station 6.
  • This station 6 can comprise one or more cross-cutting or cross-perforating knives (not shown in detail), which rotate on a roller 7.
  • punching elements for making the openings 203 can also be arranged in this station and also rotate on the roller 7.
  • the flat web 100 runs in this station 6 over a counter-pressure roller 8, the main purpose of which is to provide the counter-pressure necessary for the cutting or perforating process.
  • the web is not severed, but the flat web 100 can be provided with weakening cuts or perforations along which the tube to be formed is later torn for separation into tube pieces.
  • the flat web 100 then passes through a roller gap formed by a further guide roller 5 and a roller designed as a longitudinal glue 26. This applies glue to a side area of the material web 3 so that both side areas are permanently connected to one another after the tube formation, which is described below.
  • a tube 10 is formed from the flat web 100 by folding the flat web 100 sideways using guide elements, such as guide plates, so that the edges of the material web then overlap.
  • the subsequently overlapping areas have already been provided with a suitable adhesive using the longitudinal gluing 26.
  • Side folds can also be inserted while the paper web is being folded in.
  • the side folds can also be inserted after the tube has been formed.
  • the tube 10 is now usually fed further in the transport direction T.
  • the hose 10 After the hose 10 has been produced, it is separated into hose pieces 12 in the tear-off station 11. For this purpose, the hose 10 is guided through the roller gap of a first pair of rollers 13. As the hose continues to advance, it enters the roller gap of a second pair of rollers 14.
  • the rollers of the second pair of rollers constantly or at least temporarily have a higher peripheral speed than the rollers of the first pair of rollers 13, whose peripheral speed advantageously matches the transport speed of the hose 10.
  • the second pair of rollers 14 engages the hose 10. This can be done by the leading end of the hose running into the roller gap of the second pair of rollers.
  • the rollers of the second roller gap 14 can also be moved relative to the hose 10, for example perpendicularly, and placed against the hose. When the rollers of the second roller gap 14 are placed against the hose, the hose tears along the cut or perforation that was made in the web in station 6.
  • One of the rollers of the first pair of rollers 13 can also carry a cutting blade with which the tube can be separated into individual tube pieces 101 by means of so-called smooth cuts.
  • the perforation of the flat web within the station 6 can be omitted.
