Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a brake lining for a disc brake of a rail vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1 and a disc brake.
  • the relative movements between the brake discs and the brake linings are dependent on the design properties of the bogie (primary suspension), the installation position and installation position of the brake caliper of the disc brake of the rail vehicle, as well as operating factors such as the load condition, downhill travel and required braking forces.
  • the positioning of the brake calipers in the bogie is structurally determined in such a way that the described relative movements lead to a statistically as uniform as possible coverage of the brake disks by the brake pads. Considered over the operating time, this condition must be fulfilled in order to achieve the most uniform possible wear of the brake disks.
  • the object of the present invention is to further develop a brake lining in such a way that, when used in a disc brake of a rail vehicle, it causes the brake disc to wear as evenly as possible.
  • the brake lining according to the invention for a disc brake of a rail vehicle has at least two carrier plates and at least one friction lining held on a respective one of the carrier plates.
  • a holding element for fixing the brake lining is fastened to a lining holder of a brake caliper of the disc brake.
  • At least one of the holding elements has a guide body undetachably arranged on the carrier plate and at least one spacer that rests on an end face of the guide body and can be releasably fastened to this and / or the carrier plate.
  • the positioning of the brake linings is therefore no longer exclusively determined by the construction of the brake lining carrier.
  • the design of the holding element with a guide body and at least one such spacer enables the basic installation position of the brake pad to be easily adapted relative to the brake disc without having to change the brake pad, since this basic installation position is adapted using the spacer or spacers.
  • Such a change in the installation position of the brake lining can take place, for example, in an operating depot as part of an extended regular control of the rail vehicle.
  • the brake lining has a set of differently shaped spacers that can be attached to facing end faces of the guide body or to facing faces of the guide body, with one or more of the spacers being selected when forming the holding element, which together form a holding element with a predetermined length with the guide body.
  • the set of differently shaped spacers means that there is always a combination of guide body and one or more of the spacers allows, from which a holding element can be put together with the predetermined length.
  • the spacer is arranged on at least one of the mutually facing end faces of the carrier plates.
  • This arrangement increases the length of the brake lining in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the holding element, which means that the friction area of the friction linings on the brake disks is enlarged in the radial direction and thus the formation of undesired unworn annular surfaces is effectively prevented.
