  • a system of the applicant with internal coding is known under the term ICS and is described in the publications EP 1 816 288 A2 as well as US 2011 126 600 A1 described. Also from the printed publication EP 2 388 416 A2 It is known to arrange lateral grooves next to the cut milling.
  • an object of the invention to provide a locking system which increases the variation possibilities of conventional locking systems and offers increased functional reliability compared to conventional locking systems.
  • a locking system comprises a cylinder lock and at least one flat key for locking the cylinder lock.
  • the cylinder lock comprises a cylinder core rotatably mounted in a housing, having a keyway and core pins movable in the keyway. At least one core pin has a sensing extension at its end facing the keyway, which extends in the direction of the keyway.
  • the flat key has at least one coded side surface running along the longitudinal extent of the flat key, with control points arranged along the longitudinal extent. At least one control point has at least one milled recess designed to accommodate the sensing extension when the flat key is inserted into the keyway.
  • the flat key has a recess designed to accommodate a projection of the core pin when the flat key is inserted into the keyway.
  • the features of the locking system are designed according to the invention such that when the flat key is removed from the keyway, the core pin is lifted a sufficient distance to ensure that the projection can completely leave the recess.
  • the recess can be arranged offset from the cutout along the transverse extent of the flat key.
  • the recess can be designed to receive, in particular in a form-fitting manner, the projection of the core pin, wherein the projection extends from the base body of the core pin toward the keyway.
  • the recessed milling of the flat key and the scanning extension of the corresponding core pin can be designed in such a way that when the flat key is removed from the keyway, the projection is completely removed from the recess.
  • the cut-out milling has a guide surface which interacts with a control surface on the scanning extension of the core pin in such a way that when the flat key is removed, the projection is moved completely out of the keyway.
  • the projection can be designed in such a way that when the flat key is removed, it strikes a stop of the flat key if the projection is not moved completely out of the recess.
  • the longitudinal extent of the cut milling i.e. its extent in the longitudinal direction of the flat key, can be greater than the longitudinal extent of the scanning extension, i.e. its extent in the longitudinal direction of the key channel.
  • the shape of the scanning extension can correspond to the shape of the guide surface of the incision milling, at least in the area of a control surface, so that the scanning extension can be guided along the guide surface.
  • the scanning extension can have a slightly curved or rounded shape in the area of a control surface.
  • the shape of the projection can essentially correspond to the shape of the recess, so that in the position in which the scanning extension engages completely in the notch milling, the projection engages in the recess in a form-fitting manner.
  • the base body of the core pin is preferably cylindrical, while the scanning extension can, in principle, be of any shape.
  • the core pin may have not only the scanning extension for engaging a milled recess, but also a projection on the base body of the core pin, which, however, is recessed relative to the scanning extension.
  • a special recess can be provided on the key, offset from the cutout.
  • both the scanning extension and the projection of the core pin must fit precisely into the cutout or this special recess, so that the core pin is correctly displaced and clears the cylinder lock's division plane.
  • the scanning extension When the key is removed, the scanning extension is lifted out of the cutout.
  • the cutout can be designed with a circular cross-section—this often occurs naturally during the cutting process of the cutting tool.
  • the scanning extension of the core pin can extend beyond the projection by at least the distance by which the projection extends relative to the base body of the core pin. This ensures that when the key is removed, the core pin is lifted a sufficient distance to ensure that the projection can completely leave the recess.
  • the recess can therefore also be provided with a rectangular stop.
  • the coordinated shapes of the recess, the scanning extension, and the projection on the core pin ensure that the projection is lifted out of the recess via this stop when the key is removed, preventing it from jamming.
  • the base body of the core pin can be substantially cylindrical, with the scanning extension being narrower than the diameter of the base body and extending substantially in the axial direction of the base body. This allows the scanning extension to scan a narrow cut-out on the key. It can also be provided that the scanning extensions of different core pins are offset from one another in order to scan cut-outs that are offset relative to a central longitudinal plane of the key.
  • the scanning extension can, in particular, have a substantially rectangular cross-section and be oriented in the longitudinal direction of the keyway.
  • the scanning extension can have side surfaces that extend in the axial direction from the base body.
  • the scanning extension can essentially have the shape of a rectangular web that extends from a cylindrical base body in its axial direction.
  • the projection can be arranged directly adjacent to the scanning extension in the transverse direction of the keyway.
  • the transverse direction of the keyway refers to a direction oriented essentially at right angles to the longitudinal extent of the keyway.
  • the projection is located directly next to the scanning extension at the tip of the base body of the core pin.
  • a groove can also be provided between the sensing extension and the projection.
  • the width of the groove can preferably be greater than or equal to the thickness of the sensing extension.
  • the thickness refers to the extent of the sensing extension in the transverse direction of the keyway.
  • the core pin is pressed into the keyway by a spring force, for example via a spiral spring arranged in the cylinder housing.
  • a ferromagnetic element is provided in the core pin, preferably in the scanning extension.
  • the core pin can be pulled toward the keyway by a magnetic element in the key.
  • a magnetic element can also be arranged in the core pin and a ferromagnetic element in the key.
  • the scanning extension may be provided to taper toward the keyway.
  • the scanning extension may be in the shape of a semicircle, a flattened isosceles triangle, or an isosceles trapezoid.
  • the scanning extension may have a flattened tip and flank surfaces extending toward the tip.
  • a separate control surface can also be arranged on the scanning extension, preferably at the point on the scanning extension closest to the keyway.
  • the control surface can have an outer curvature that corresponds to the inner curvature of the cut-out milling.
  • the projection according to the invention which is preferably arranged next to the sensing extension, can have an engagement surface.
  • the engagement surface of the projection can be shaped to engage the recess of the key.
  • the engagement surface can be arranged substantially parallel to the control surface at the tip of the sensing extension and preferably form a right angle with the side surface of the sensing extension.
  • the projection of the core pin has a retaining surface extending obliquely to the key channel, and the stop has a corresponding side wall extending obliquely to the longitudinal extension of the flat key.
  • the retaining surface and the side wall can be designed such that the retaining surface abuts the side wall when the flat key is removed, unless the projection is completely removed from the recess.
  • the retaining surface and the side wall can be designed with an undercut such that the core pin cannot move in its axial direction when the flat key is inserted.
  • the retaining surface can enclose an angle greater than 0°, preferably 5° to 30°, particularly preferably 15°, with the side surface of the scanning extension and an angle less than 90°, preferably 60° to 85°, particularly preferably 75°, with the engagement surface.
  • a flat key for such a locking system comprises at least one coded side surface running along the longitudinal extent of the flat key, with control points arranged along the longitudinal extent. At least one cutout milling is provided at at least one control point. The cutout milling can have a first depth substantially normal to the side surface. At this control point of the flat key, a recess with a second depth substantially normal to the side surface can be provided, wherein the cutout milling and the recess are arranged offset from one another, in particular adjacent to one another, transversely to the longitudinal extent of the flat key. Optionally, the second depth is at most half the size of the first depth.
  • Such a key therefore not only has a cutout with a defined depth for coding at a control point, but also a recess that is offset from the cutout in the transverse direction of the key. This allows for several possible variations at this control point.
  • the recess can be shallower than the cutout, up to a maximum of half as deep.
  • the core pin which engages the cutout and recess to lock the lock, must completely leave the cutout when the key is removed. Because the cutout is at least twice as deep as the recess, it is inevitable that the core pin will leave the recess when it is completely removed from the cutout. Since the core pin is thus completely lifted out of the recess via the cutout, the recess can be provided with a steep flank or other form of stop on which unauthorized keys would get stuck.
  • the side surface can be the narrow side of the flat key.
  • the side surface can also be the broad side of the flat key.
  • the cut-out milling can be narrower than the side surface. In particular, it can have an extension transverse to the longitudinal extension of the flat key, preferably one-third of the extension of the side surface. Two or more cut-out millings can be provided transverse to the longitudinal extension of the flat key.
  • the recessed milling can be curved and preferably essentially circular, forming an internal circular guide surface. This design allows the core pin to be guided along the guide surface as smoothly as possible during key insertion and removal.
  • the recess does not have to be curved or circular, but can have a base surface that runs essentially parallel to the side surface. This allows for a particularly good, positive engagement of an authorized core pin in the recess.
  • a stop can preferably be formed between the side surface and the recess to prevent an unauthorized core pin from locking when the key is removed.
  • the side surface can also merge into the recess via a stop.
  • the stop can have a side wall arranged at an angle of 60° to 90°, preferably 75° to 90°, particularly preferably 90° to the side surface. If the angle is less than 90°, this offers the advantage according to the invention that an undercut is formed, so that a core pin formed with a correspondingly matching undercut is no longer movable in the axial direction when inserted.
  • At least one ferromagnetic element is provided on the flat key at at least one control point for exerting an attractive force on at least one core pin of the cylinder lock.
  • a magnetic element may be provided in the core pin.
  • a magnetic element is provided at the control point in the key and a ferromagnetic element is provided in the core pin.
  • the recess may be formed directly adjacent to the cutout.
  • a web may be provided between the cutout and the recess to guide a core pin of the cylinder lock.
  • Fig. 1 shows a schematic three-dimensional representation of a prior art key-lock combination.
  • the flat key 1 is inserted into the keyway 20 of the cylinder core 2 of a cylinder lock.
  • the cylinder lock comprises, in a known manner, a housing 12 with spring-loaded housing pins 3 and a rotatable cylinder core 2 with core pins 4. Housing pins 3 and core pins 4 are arranged in correspondingly aligned bores in the housing 12 and cylinder core 2.
  • the core pins 4 are constructed in such a way that they have a cylindrical base body 19 and, adjoining it, a web-shaped scanning extension 5.
  • the scanning extensions 5 are narrower than the diameter of the base body 19 and aligned in the longitudinal direction of the keyway 20.
  • the flat key 1 has recesses 6 of varying depth at defined control points on its narrow side.
  • the scanning extensions 5 are designed to scan the recesses 6.
  • the recesses 6 have a substantially circular cross-section, so that the core pins 4 are guided along the curved base surface of the respective recess 6 to their respective end positions.
  • all housing pins 3 are located at the dividing plane between the housing 12 and the cylinder core 2, so that the cylinder core 2 can rotate in the housing 12 and lock the lock.
