Definitions
- the present invention relates to a sanitary fitting, which is particularly suitable for use in connection with sinks, wash basins, bathtubs and/or showers.
- Sanitary fittings are used on sinks, wash basins, bathtubs and/or showers to provide a liquid, in particular water, as needed.
- sanitary fittings can have a fitting housing with an outlet and an outlet opening for the liquid.
- the fitting housing of the sanitary fitting can be attached to a support, for example a worktop or a sink or wash basin.
- sanitary fittings can have a mixing valve through which cold water and hot water can be mixed to form mixed water with a desired mixed water temperature.
- the object of the invention is therefore to at least partially solve the problems described with reference to the prior art and, in particular, to provide a sanitary fitting that reduces the risk of scalding.
- a sanitary fitting having the features of claim 1 contributes to this.
- the sanitary fitting is designed, in particular, to provide a first liquid and a second liquid to sinks, washbasins, showers, and/or bathtubs as needed.
- the first liquid is hot water, which has a hot water temperature of 95 °C (Celsius) to 100 °C.
- the sanitary fitting has a hot water source, for example, similar to a water heater or boiler.
- the second liquid can be, in particular, mixed water.
- the sanitary fitting can be supplied with, in particular, cold water at a cold water temperature and hot water at a hot water temperature.
- the cold water and hot water can be mixed by the sanitary fitting, in particular, for example by means of a mixing valve or a (thermostat) mixing cartridge, to form the mixed water at a desired mixed water temperature.
- the cold water temperature is, in particular, a maximum of 25 °C, preferably 1 °C to 25 °C, particularly preferably 5 °C to 20 °C and/or the hot water temperature is, in particular, a maximum of 90 °C, preferably 25 °C to 90 °C, particularly preferably 55 °C to 65 °C.
- the mixing valve or the (thermostat) mixing cartridge can be arranged in a fitting housing of the sanitary fitting.
- the fitting housing is preferably made at least partially of plastic and/or (cast) metal, such as brass.
- the fitting housing can be attached to a support, such as a worktop, sink, washbasin, bathtub, or shower.
- the fitting housing has a (protruding or branching) outlet that is rigidly or movably connected to the fitting housing.
- the outlet can be at least partially tubular.
- the sanitary fitting also has a shower head with a first liquid channel for conducting the first liquid to at least one outlet opening of the shower head. Furthermore, the shower head has at least one second liquid channel for conducting the second liquid to the at least one outlet opening.
- the first liquid and/or the second liquid can be dispensed, in particular, to an area surrounding the sanitary fitting via the at least one outlet opening.
- the at least one outlet opening can be designed in the manner of a mousseur and/or jet former.
- the shower head can be pulled by a user of the sanitary fitting from a first operating position, in which the shower head is at least partially arranged in the outlet, into a second operating position, for example in order to be able to dispense the second liquid more flexibly and/or into an area at a greater distance from the sanitary fitting than in the first operating position of the shower head.
- the shower head In the first operating position, the shower head is inserted, in particular, into a longitudinal end of the outlet, so that the shower head is, in particular, detachably attached to the outlet or carried by the outlet.
- the shower head In the second operating position, the shower head is separated from the spout, allowing it to be moved independently of the spout.
- the shower head can be pulled out of the shower head by 5 cm to 100 cm from the first operating position to the second operating position.
- the shower head can be connected to a fluid hose that can be pulled out of the faucet body and/or the spout together with the shower head.
- the shower head has a first valve that closes (in particular automatically) the at least one first fluid channel for conducting the first fluid when the shower head is pulled from the first operating position into the second operating position. This prevents the first fluid from being dispensed via the outlet opening when the shower head is not in the first operating position. This reduces the risk of scalding when the shower head is pulled out of the outlet.
- the first valve can be designed in the manner of a (first) backflow preventer and/or can be arranged in the shower head or in a shower housing of the shower head.
- the first valve can open the at least one first fluid channel when the shower head is in the first operating position.
- the first valve opens the at least one first fluid channel, in particular automatically, when the shower head is returned to the first operating position or inserted back into the outlet.
- the first fluid can only be dispensed via the outlet opening when the shower head is in the first operating position.
- the sanitary fitting may have a changeover device for actuating the first valve seat.
- the first valve can be closed and opened (in particular automatically) by means of the changeover device.
- the changeover device is a mechanical changeover device and not an electrical changeover device.
- the diverter device can comprise a first adjusting element that can be adjusted at least partially into the shower head to open the first valve.
- the first adjusting element can be at least partially pin-shaped and/or bolt-shaped. Furthermore, the first adjusting element can be oriented (essentially) orthogonally to a longitudinal axis of the shower head.
- the first adjusting element can be at least partially adjusted into the shower head through the outlet when the shower head is in the first operating position.
- the first adjusting element is, in particular, designed and/or arranged such that, when the shower head is inserted into the outlet, it is pressed by the outlet or by a shower head receptacle of the outlet or is at least partially adjusted into the shower head.
- the first valve is opened by at least partially adjusting the first adjusting element into the shower head.
- the first adjusting element can be at least partially displaced from the shower head by a first spring when the shower head is not in the first operating position.
- the first spring can, in particular, be designed in the manner of a helical spring.
- a second adjusting element can be adjusted by the first adjusting element.
- the second adjusting element can be at least partially pin-shaped and/or bolt-shaped. Furthermore, the second adjusting element can be oriented (essentially) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shower head.
- the second adjusting element can be adjustable against a second spring.
- the second spring can, in particular, be designed in the manner of a helical spring.
- the second adjusting element can be adjustable by the first adjusting element via a sliding surface.
- the sliding surface can in particular be formed on a (second) longitudinal end of the second adjusting element.
- the sliding surface can in particular run obliquely to the first adjusting element or obliquely to a longitudinal axis of the first adjusting element.
- a (third) longitudinal end of the first adjusting element can interact with the sliding surface of the second adjusting element. Via the sliding surface, in particular, a movement of the first adjusting element orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the shower can be effected into a movement of the second adjusting element parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shower.
- the first valve may have a first valve body that can be released from a first valve seat by the first actuating element and/or a second actuating element.
- the first actuating element and/or the second actuating element may be mechanically coupled to the first valve body, in particular. Lifting the first valve body from the first valve seat, in particular, causes the first valve to open.
- the first valve body can be pressed onto the first valve seat by a third spring.
- the third spring can, in particular, be designed in the manner of a helical spring.
- the Fig. 1 shows a sanitary fitting 1 in a perspective view.
- the sanitary fitting 1 has a fitting housing 2, which comprises a pivoting spout 3.
- the fitting housing 2 can be fastened to a support (not shown here).
- the sanitary fitting 1 has a shower 4, which is located in the Fig. 1 in a first operating position 7. In the first operating position 7, the shower head 4 is inserted into a first longitudinal end 19 of the outlet 3, so that the shower head 4 is detachably attached to the outlet 3.
- the actuating element 20 of the sanitary fitting 1 controls the dispensing of a first liquid via an outlet opening 6 of the shower head 4.
- the first actuating element 20 is designed here in the manner of a rotary handle.
- the first liquid is hot water.
- the sanitary fitting 1 comprises a second actuating element 21, by means of which the dispensing of a second liquid via the outlet opening 6 can be controlled and the temperature of the second liquid can be adjusted.
- the second actuating element 21 is designed here in the manner of an actuating lever.
- the second liquid is mixed water.
- the Fig. 2 shows the shower head 4 in the first operating position 7 in a sectional view along a Fig. 1 shown sectional plane 22 from above.
- the shower 4 is connected to a liquid hose 23, which runs through the outlet 3.
- the liquid hose 23 comprises a first liquid channel 5 for the first liquid and a second liquid channel 24 for the second liquid.
- the first liquid from a hot water heater (not shown here) can be supplied to the shower via the first liquid channel 5
- the second liquid from a mixing valve (not shown here) can be supplied via the second liquid channel 24, which can be supplied in and/or outside the Fig. 1 shown fitting housing 2.
- the liquid hose 23 is in the Fig. 2 only presented in abbreviated form.
- the first valve 9 can be actuated by a changeover device 18 of the shower 4.
- the changeover device 18 comprises a first adjusting element 10 and a second adjusting element 12, each of which is pin-shaped or bolt-shaped.
- the first adjusting element 10 is oriented orthogonally to a shower longitudinal axis 26 of the shower 4 or a spout longitudinal axis 27 of the spout 3, and the second adjusting element 12 is oriented parallel to the shower longitudinal axis 26 or the spout longitudinal axis 27, and is movably mounted relative to the shower housing 25 of the shower 4.
- the first adjusting element 10 In the first operating position 7 of the shower 4, the first adjusting element 10 is moved by the outlet 3 or by a shower receptacle 28 arranged in the outlet 3 against a first spring force of a first spring 11 pressed into the shower 4. As a result, the first adjusting element 10 adjusts the second adjusting element 12 via an inclined sliding surface 14 against a second spring force of a second spring 13 in the direction of the first valve 9, so that a first valve body 15 of the first valve 9 is lifted from a first valve seat 16 of the first valve 9 against a third spring force of a third spring 17.
- the first valve 9 or the first liquid channel 5 is open when the shower 4 is in the first operating position 7, so that the first liquid can flow via the first liquid channel 5 to the outlet opening 6 of the shower 4.
- the Fig. 3 shows the shower head 4 in a sectional view along the Fig. 1 shown sectional plane 22 from above, after the shower head 4 has been pulled out of the outlet 3 into a second operating position 8 by a user not shown here.
- the first valve 9 or the first fluid channel 5 is closed when the shower head 4 is in the second operating position 8, so that the first fluid cannot flow via the first fluid channel 5 to the outlet opening 6 of the shower head 4.
- the third spring 17 presses the first valve body 15 against the first valve seat 16 in a first flow direction 34 of the first fluid in the first fluid channel 5 or in the direction of the outlet opening 6.
- a second valve 30 is arranged, which is also designed in the manner of a backflow preventer.
- the second valve 30 comprises a second valve body 31, which is pressed against a second valve seat 33 by a fourth spring 32.
- the second valve body 31 of the second valve 30 is moved against a second flow direction 29 of the second fluid in the second fluid channel 24 or away from the outlet opening 6 against the second valve seat 33. This opens the second valve 30 when a fluid pressure of the second fluid in the second fluid channel 24 overcomes a fourth spring force of the fourth spring 32.
- the second valve 30 prevents backflow of the first fluid and/or the second fluid from the shower head into the second fluid channel 24.
- the present invention reduces the risk of scalding by preventing the first liquid from being dispensed when the shower head 4 is pulled out.
