Appareil électroménager de repassage comportant un fer à repasser (1) comprenant une semelle (10) comportant une surface de repassage plane surmontée d'un corps (11), une poignée (12) de préhension disposée en porte-à-faux par rapport à la semelle (10), et un cordon (3) d'alimentation sortant du fer à repasser (1) par une ouverture (15) ménagée sur la poignée (12), la poignée (12) comportant une extrémité avant rattachée audit corps (11) et une extrémité arrière libre, caractérisé en ce que ladite ouverture est ménagée sur une surface supérieure de la poignée (12).
