Definitions
- the invention relates to a portable hygiene station, in particular a cleaning station, for construction sites, especially for small construction sites.
- toilets typically consist of a simple cubicle with an interior door, allowing the interior to be opened and closed as needed. They include a toilet and, in better-equipped cubicles, a hygiene facility such as a sink with a water tank.
- a hygiene facility such as a sink with a water tank.
- the primary function of these toilets is to provide a toilet, not a comprehensive hygiene facility.
- Such a toilet cubicle is, for example, made from the DE 20 2016 101 186 U1 known.
- the one in the DE 20 2016 101 186 U1 The described toilet cubicle comprises a floor, a ceiling, corner posts extending between the floor and ceiling, and side walls, each positioned between two corner posts. One of the side walls is pivotally attached to one of the corner posts to allow access to the interior.
- the toilet cubicle includes a sanitary unit designed as a toilet with a water tank. The water tank is suspended from an end section of one of the corner posts by means of a bracket.
- the WO 00/36234 A2 a portable toilet cabin and the DE20 2020 101 660U1 a mobile cleaning station for handwashing.
- the invention is therefore based on the objective of providing a hygiene station that eliminates the aforementioned problems and disadvantages of the prior art.
- the solution according to the invention comprises a portable hygiene station, in particular a cleaning station, for construction sites, especially small construction sites, which has at least one hygiene device and an insulated container in which the at least one hygiene device is arranged, wherein the insulated container has the following: an insulated housing which defines a usable space inside in which the at least one hygiene device is housed; and a container door which is hingedly connected to the insulated housing and by means of which the usable space of the insulated container can be selectively opened and closed, wherein an external water supply connection is provided on the insulated housing, wherein the hygiene device has at least one washbasin with a water outlet and a water drain, and wherein the portable hygiene station has a frost protection device which is arranged in the usable space of the insulated housing.
- the hygiene station is characterized by its portability and transportability. It is therefore not tied to a fixed location and can be used at various sites.
- the hygiene station serves as a cleaning station, particularly for personal hygiene. Furthermore, it provides a water supply.
- a small construction site is defined as one the size required for a single-family home.
- the hygiene requirements depending on the maximum number of workers, are the same as for larger construction sites.
- the sanitary containers available on the market are usually equipped with numerous washing stations, which are not needed on small construction sites. Therefore, their use is not economical.
- An insulated container is understood to be a thermally insulated container. Specifically, this refers to a container designed with thermal insulation that reduces the transfer of heat energy in order to protect the usable space from excessive cooling. This can be achieved, for example, by a suitable covering arranged within a wall of the insulated container.
- the housing of the insulated container can be closed using the container door.
- the hinge used for this purpose is preferably a pivot hinge, allowing the container door to be pivotally attached to the insulated housing.
- the insulated container separates the usable space from the external environment.
- the external water supply connection is located on one side of the insulated container, i.e., on the side facing away from the usable space. This water supply connection provides water to the hygiene equipment.
- a water supply hose can be connected to the water supply connection for this purpose.
- the hygiene facility is a device used for cleaning, particularly personal hygiene. It is specifically not a sanitary facility primarily intended for the collection or disposal of bodily excretions.
- the hygiene facility is the washbasin, specifically designed as a handwashing basin.
- the washbasin is designed as an upwardly concave container.
- the water outlet can be a fitting for the metered dispensing of hot and/or cold water.
- the water outlet can be designed as a siphon.
- the water dispensing fitting can be sensor-controlled.
- a wastewater lifting station can be arranged within the housing to pump wastewater to a wastewater connection.
- exactly one washbasin is designed as the hygiene facility.
- the hygiene facility can also have several washbasins. Hygiene facilities may be assigned additional equipment, so that further equipment is arranged in the usable space.
- a soap dispenser for example, a soap dispenser, a cream dispenser, a disinfectant dispenser, a towel dispenser, a mirror, and/or lighting can be installed.
- the lighting can be linked to the open/closed status of the container door, for example, via a push button, or it can include a motion detector. This eliminates the need to press a switch to turn on the lighting in the insulated container.
- the unit can also be equipped with a water meter connection bracket with an old water meter, a pressure reducer, or an electrical distribution panel.
- Other equipment examples include a waste container, optionally with or without a lid, for collecting items such as used paper towels.
- a high-pressure cleaner is installed in the hygiene station.
- the frost protection device is designed to prevent the temperature inside the usable space from dropping below zero degrees Celsius.
- the advantage of the proposed solution lies in the fact that the hygiene station, in a compact form, fulfills a wide range of construction site-specific needs. Its excellent usability at sub-zero temperatures is particularly noteworthy.
- the combination of the well-insulated tank and the frost protection system provides a simple yet highly effective method of protecting the usable space from freezing. This allows all frost-sensitive components, especially water pipes, to be safely located within the usable space.
- the hygiene station is therefore particularly well-suited for use on construction sites, especially small ones. It is not intended as a toilet, but rather as a cleaning station, thus providing a cleaning facility on the construction site.
- the hygiene station is also suitable for water supply and distribution. All components requiring frost protection can be conveniently located within the protected tank.
- the portable hygiene station does not have any sanitary facilities that primarily serve to receive or convey bodily excretions, in particular stool and/or urine.
- the space contains neither a toilet nor a urinal or anything similar.
- the hygiene station is therefore not a toilet cubicle, but rather a hygiene station equipped internally only with hygiene facilities for personal care and/or cleaning.
- An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the hygiene device can be used from the outside with the container door open, without entering the container.
- the hygiene device, or the washbasin, is thus arranged and designed within reach of a user standing outside the hygiene device.
- the insulated housing of the portable hygiene station has a maximum width of 100 cm, a maximum depth of 150 cm and a maximum height of 220 cm.
- the width is in the range of 60 cm to 100 cm, the depth in the range of 90 cm to 120 cm, and the height in the range of 180 cm to 220 cm. Particularly preferred are a width of approximately 80 cm, a depth of approximately 120 cm, and a height of approximately 195 cm.
- the usable space then preferably has a width in the range of 50 cm to 70 cm, a depth in the range of 90 cm to 110 cm, and a height in the range of 150 cm to 170 cm. Particularly preferred is the width of the usable space of approximately 60 cm, a depth of approximately 100 cm, and a height of approximately 160 cm. These dimensions allow for both excellent transportability and mobility, as well as good thermal insulation of the walls of the insulated container.
- the frost protection device has a heating unit for heating the usable space of the insulated housing and a frost protection control, wherein the frost protection control is configured to switch on the heating unit when a predetermined minimum temperature is undershot.
- the heating unit is generally suitable for supplying heat energy to the usable space. Specifically, it is an electric heater, preferably a fan heater or radiant heater.
- the frost protection control can include a thermostat with a temperature sensor. Setting the minimum temperature above zero degrees Celsius reliably prevents pipes in the usable space from freezing.
- the frost protection device is designed as a non-electric frost protection device.
- the frost protection device can then be integrated into a water supply system located downstream of the water supply connection.
- This frost protection device then includes a frost protection controller with a temperature sensor and a valve, and is designed to open the valve when a minimum temperature is undershot, allowing water to flow through the water supply system. This prevents the part through which the water flows from freezing.
- the portable hygiene station has a water inlet hose which is connected and/or connectable to the water supply connection, wherein the water inlet hose is designed to be heated.
- the water inlet hose has a heating cable or similar component. This protects the water inlet hose, which is located outside the hygiene station, from freezing. Overall, in combination with the insulated tank and the frost protection device, this results in a particularly reliable system.
- a water heating device is arranged in the usable space for heating at least part of the water flowing to the water outlet.
- the water heating device is located between the water supply connection and the water outlet of the washbasin.
- the water heating device is preferably an instantaneous water heater or a boiler. If the boiler is not fully insulated, it would also be conceivable to use the boiler as a heating unit to heat the room. Thus, the heating unit could also be designed as a boiler.
- the water heating system makes it easy to provide hot water on the construction site. This allows for easier and more pleasant removal of stubborn dirt. It also enables hand cleaning with warm water.
- a plurality of external water drainage connections are provided on the outside of the insulated housing, wherein a water distribution device for dividing water supplied by means of the water supply connection to at least the plurality of external water drainage connections and the water outlet of the washbasin is located in the usable space.
- the numerous external water drainage connections are designed for the supply of fresh water on the construction site.
- the hygiene station is thus also equipped to supply a comprehensive water supply on a construction site.
- the water distribution system is designed to distribute supplied water to multiple water connections. Since the water distribution system is located within the usable space, it can be reliably protected from freezing by means of the insulated tank and the frost protection device. In combination with the heated water inlet hose, this results in a frost-proof system. This arrangement ensures a reliable water supply on the construction site at all times via the externally located water outlets, without the need for complex systems.
- the water heating device can preferably also be designed to supply at least part of the supply to the external connections, i.e., the external connections.
- the water supply connections are used to heat flowing water. This allows cold water in the utility room to be heated by the water heating unit and then piped back outside to a tap, i.e., the external connections, where hot water can be drawn from the hygiene station.
- the water heating unit is typically located between the water supply connection and the water distribution system. This unit could be, for example, an instantaneous water heater.
- a suitable model is an instantaneous water heater with an operating voltage of 400V, a 32A fuse rating, and a power output of 21 kW.
- the hygiene station has an irrigation control system by means of which an automatic water supply can be set at at least one of the external water discharge connections.
- the irrigation controller enables optimal results with low water consumption and no manual effort.
- the controller can be set to irrigate the base slab for approximately 15 minutes every hour, with irrigation continuing for 6 hours.
- the portable hygiene station has at least one high-pressure cleaner which is arranged within the usable space.
- the pressure washer and its lines are also protected by the insulated tank.
- An additional pressure washer can be provided as an option. This can also be mounted externally on the insulated tank.
- the insulated housing is designed as a double shell with an outer shell and an inner shell, wherein an insulating core is arranged between the outer shell and the inner shell.
- the outer shell and/or the inner shell are formed in one piece.
- both shells are formed in one piece.
- a shell is understood to be a continuous, shell-shaped structure.
- Each shell forms several, preferably all, of the enclosure's space-defining elements as a single, continuous piece.
- Space-defining elements are defined as the base, the top, the back wall, and the two side walls, as seen from a front view with the enclosure open.
- the individual space-defining elements do not consist of individual panels that are then connected to other space-defining elements. Rather, the individual space-defining elements are formed with other space-defining elements in a continuous surface.
- the outer shell is preferably impact- and shock-resistant.
- the outer shell is made of polyethylene.
- the inner shell is made of a plastic, in particular a glass fiber-reinforced plastic.
- the outer shell and/or the inner shell are preferably designed as shell-shaped molded parts, in particular injection-molded parts.
- the insulating core is preferably made of rigid polyurethane foam. The insulating core is injected into the space between the outer and inner shells in such a way that the insulating core seals the space tightly and seamlessly. Thus, the insulating core is also continuous along several space-defining elements.
- the double-shell structure with an insulating core in between allows for particularly good thermal insulation of the insulated container.
- the materials mentioned above further enhance this effect.
- the container door is formed from an inner plate and an outer plate, wherein an insulating core is preferably arranged between the inner plate and the outer plate.
- the inner and outer panels are each made of polyethylene.
- the insulating core can also be made of rigid polyurethane foam. This further improves the thermal insulation of the insulated container.
- the insulated container or the container door has a seal that is at least substantially circumferential, by means of which the container door effectively seals the usable space when closed.
- the seal preferably forms a complete circumferential seal. Particularly preferably, the seal completely surrounds the opening that can be closed by means of the container door. This further improves the thermal insulation of the insulated container.
- a recess can be formed in the lower section of the seal. This creates a leakage opening from the usable space to the outside. In the event of a leak, this allows water to escape, preventing the usable space from filling completely with water.
- the entire lower section of the seal can be recessed. In this case, when closed, the seal would only be in contact with the top and sides of the container door.
- the insulated container has a plurality of externally arranged metal profiles and lifting elements arranged on the top and/or bottom.
- the metal profiles on the outside of the insulated container ensure high stability.
- the metal profiles can improve the craneability of the insulated container by stiffening it.
- the lifting elements can, for example, be lifting eyes preferably located on the top of the insulated container. Alternatively or additionally, they can be lifting rails formed on the underside of the insulated container. Lifting rails can be attached to these lifting rails. A guided and safe lifting operation using a material handling vehicle, such as a forklift, should be carried out.
- a cleaning device for shoes/boots can be mounted on the outside of the insulated container. This device is supplied primarily with water from inside the container. The control unit for the cleaning device can therefore also be located in a frost-free area.
- signs for advertising or identification purposes can be attached to the container surface.
- the signs are made of aluminum composite panels, which are attached to the side surfaces with exemplary dimensions of 60 cm wide and 40 cm high.
- the hygiene facility can be marked with a company sign.
- the container may also have a wastewater connection for the discharge/transfer of wastewater.
- the container has the wastewater connection at the rear or side.
- the wastewater can be discharged into the local sewer system via a gravity drain, a hose, or via the integrated wastewater pumping station with a pressurized line.

- the lifting elements 125a arranged on the top of the insulated container 120 are eyelets that can be gripped using a crane hook.
- the lifting elements 125b formed on the underside of the insulated container 120 are lifting rails that simplify transport using a forklift or pallet jack.
- both types of lifting elements 125a and 125b are shown, optionally only the lifting elements 125a, only the lifting elements 125b, both types of lifting elements 125a, 125b or neither of the lifting elements 125a, 125b can be formed.
- the insulated container 120 has a width w, a height h and a depth d.
- the width w is a maximum of 100 cm
- the depth d a maximum of 150 cm
- the height h a maximum of 220 cm.
- a hygiene unit 110 is arranged inside, i.e., in the usable space N, of the insulated container 120.
- the hygiene unit 110 has a washbasin 111 with a water outlet 111a and a water drain 111b.
- the hygiene unit 110 includes a variety of equipment 114. Examples are shown in Fig. 1 A soap dispenser, a cream dispenser, a towel dispenser, and a light were arranged. Although this was not in the Fig. 1
