Definitions
- the present invention relates to a novel pole cover system which allows installing photovoltaic panels , the pole cover system being usable , for example , in the agricultural setting on support poles of anti-hail nets or plastic films placed to cover fruit trees or even on the poles used as stakes for plants .
- pole covers having a substantially quadrilateral or circular section, usable for decorative purposes or as a structural element for fastening pulling cables for nets or plastic films .
- the commercially available pole covers do not allow installing elements thereon since they do not include any means for fastening elements superimposed on the pole itsel f .
- the finding aims to overcome the limits of the prior art by providing a pole cover which allows installing light structures on the top thereof without interfering with the crops below or with the covering nets/cloths .
- the suggested solution is a system consisting of three elements which when j oined using screws and interlocking j oints leads to a structure adapted to support a photovoltaic panel .

- a load-bearing cover (30) provided with a supporting/backing structure for coupling a photovoltaic panel (E) , said load-bearing cover (30) being fastenable directly to the shell (10) or above the possible cable clip cover (20) ;
- the shell (10) has a lower cavity open downwards in which the upper end of the pole (p) is interlocked.
- the upper end of the pole (P) is insertable into an adapter (B) in turn insertable into the shell (10) , which is thus interposed between the pole and the shell itself. It is thus advantageously possible to use the same shell (10) with poles of different shapes.
- the shell (10) consists of a substantially hemispherical bulged part (102) having, in the lower part, a housing (104) provided with an opening ( 104 ’ ) in which there are directly insertable: the upper end of a pole (P) or, in the case of said variant of the finding, said adapter (B) in which the upper end of the pole (P) is in turn inserted.
- the shape of said housing (104) is adapted to match that of the outer surface (B' ) of the adapter (B) , whereas the inner surface (B' ’ ) of said adapter (B) , in which the pole (P) is inserted, has a shape corresponding to that of the upper end of said pole (P) .
- the presence of the adapter (B) allows using the same shell (10) with poles of different shapes/size, allowing the use of the finding on poles made of concrete, iron, wood, etc.
- the upper surface (103) of said shell (10) is preferably flat with rounded edges, whereas the lower part (102) of the same shell is flared; this flaring is necessary since the widening of the upper part of the shell (10) allows it to support the remaining components of the finding, acting both as a support for laying the pulling cables of nets or plastic films, which cables are positioned in appropriate, mutually perpendicular grooves (105A, 105B) obtained on the upper surface (103) of the shell itself, and as a seat for the fastening means (101) preferably consisting of a plurality of threaded holes for the fastening screws (V) of the possible intermediate cable clip cover (20) and of the load-bearing cover (30) with the supporting/backing structure of the photovoltaic panel.
- the threaded holes (101) for the fastening screws (V) of the cable clip cover (20) and the load-bearing cover (30) provided with the supporting structure are positioned along a circumference close to the edge of the upper surface (103) of the shell (10) .
- the housing (104) of the adapter (B) inside the shell (10) is shown in figure 2d.
- At least one substantially radial hole (106) obtained from the side surface of the hemispherical bulged part (102) , as well as a central hole (107) obtained on the upper surface (103) can be present on said shell (10) , said holes communicating with each other such as to allow the passage of electric cables inside the shell (10) .
- a possible cable clip cover (20) is positioned on the upper surface (103) of the shell (10) , having a shape corresponding to that of the shell (10) , provided with:
- the intermediate cable clip cover (20) is also provided with a central hole (207) placed in a position corresponding to the hole (107) in the shell (10) .
- the finding described so far also includes a loadbearing cover (30) , provided with a supporting/backing structure for a photovoltaic panel (E) , which loadbearing cover is installable above the cable clip cover (20) , if present, or directly on the shell (10) .
- the load-bearing cover (30) provided with a supporting/backing structure consists of:
- a base (301) the lower surface (302) of which is configured to match the upper surface (103) of the shell (10) or the upper surface (203) of the possible cable clip cover (20) , and is provided with a plurality of through holes (301) placed at the threaded fastening holes (101) present on the shell (10) and thus also at the through holes (201) present on the cable clip cover (20) , if present;
- tubular seat (304) preferably, but not exclusively, quadrilateral in shape, perpendicular to the base (301) and firmly constrained thereon, which seat is provided with a plurality of pairs of transverse holes ( 304 ’ ) arranged on two opposing faces;
- a support rod (306) telescopically sliding into said seat (304) , which rod (306) is also tubular and is provided with a plurality of pairs of transverse holes ( 306 ’ ) on two opposing side faces of said rod (306) and corresponding to the faces on which the holes ( 304 ’ ) of the seat (304) are obtained to be fastenable to the latter with appropriate pins (307) , which are inserted into both of the aforesaid pairs of holes (304' and 306' ) ;
- each of said flaps (305) being provided with a hole (305' ) close to the base (301) ;
- a device (D) for the horizontal rotation of the panel itself is present between the top of said telescopic rod (306) and the pair of vertical plates (308) for fastening the panel (E) , said device consisting of:
- a lower plate (310) provided with a preferably tubular, central cylinder (312) protruding upwards, which plate (310) is integral with an underlying element (314) which is configured to be fastened to the upper end of the support rod (306) ; for that purpose, said underlying element (314) being provided with a pair of transverse holes ( 314 ’ ) on two opposing side faces for the insertion of fastening pins (315) of the same underlying element (314) with respect to the sliding support rod (306) ;
- Said mutually rotatable lower (310) and upper (311) plates are preferably provided:
- the horizontal rotation device (D) is preferably hollow, thus allowing the passage of the electric cables therein, from and to the photovoltaic panel (E) .
- a photovoltaic panel (E) is coupled to the plate (308) by means of the pin (309) insertable into the hole (308' ) ; advantageously, it is possible to adjust the height of the panel by sliding the support rod (306) inside the seat (304) and stopping it in the desired position using the pins (307) .
- Said pulling cables (T) are preferably provided with appropriate cable tensioners to keep them taut.
- the first pulling cable is positioned inside the groove (105A) , the aim of which is both to support the anti-hail net/polymer film (R) covering the row, and to promote the maintenance of the shell (10) in its position on top of the pole (P) where it is installed.
- the anti-hail net or polymer film (R) covering the fruit trees is then arranged, and once the arrangement of the cover has been finished, a second pulling cable is placed inside the groove (105B) , orthogonal to the first, the aim of which is to keep the cover in place.
- the cables are thus kept in place by the possible cable clip cover (20) which is fastened to the shell (10) , or directly by the load-bearing cover (30) provided with a supporting structure.
- the loadbearing cover (30) is positioned thereon and is fastened using the screws (V) engaged in the seats (101, 201, 301) which allow stably fastening said intermediate cable clip cover (20) and said loadbearing cover (30) to the shell (10) .
- the shell (10) is provided with the preferably horizontal hole (106) and the central hole (107) , communicating with each other, and the intermediate cable clip cover (20) is provided with the central hole (207) , the passage of the electric cables for the photovoltaic panel can take place inside the pole cover (A) .
- the loadbearing cover (30) also has a central hole corresponding to that of the cable clip cover (20) .
- the optional presence of the horizontal rotation device (D) allows a rotation of the photovoltaic panel (E) about the vertical axis.
- the pole cover (A) according to the finding thus allows installing a photovoltaic panel onto the corresponding pole, e.g., in orchards, without interfering with the crops below, while allowing normal covers to be used on said crops without needing to alter the layout or use thereof and thus preserving the underlying plants as much as possible.
- the shell (10) , the adapter (B) , and said cable clip and load-bearing covers (20, 30) are made of plastic material .
- a further peculiarity of the finding is that the plurality of holes (301, 201) present in said optional cable clip cover (20) and in said load-bearing cover (30) can also be replaced by arched slots (not shown) in which the fastening screws (V) are inserted to be engaged in the threaded seats (101) present in the shell (10) .
- the load-bearing cover (30) provided with a supporting/backing structure for a photovoltaic panel (E) substantially consists of:
- a base (303) the lower surface (302) of which is configured to match the upper surface (103) of the shell (10) , and is provided with a plurality of through holes (301) placed at the threaded fastening holes (101) present on the shell (10) ;
- a tubular seat (304) preferably, but not exclusively, with a quadrilateral section, perpendicular to the base (303) and firmly constrained thereon, which tubular seat (304) is provided with a plurality of pairs of transverse holes ( 304 ’ ) arranged on two opposing faces;
- a support rod (306) preferably telescopically sliding inside said tubular seat (304) , which rod (306) is also tubular and is provided with a plurality of pairs of transverse holes ( 306 ’ ) on two opposing side faces of said rod (306) and corresponding to the faces on which said holes ( 304 ’ ) of the tubular seat (304) are present, to be fastenable to the latter with appropriate transverse pins (307) , which are inserted into both of the aforesaid pairs of holes (304' and 306' ) ;
