Definitions
- the present invention relates to a packaging machine, in particular intended to make sealed packages, for example pouches, bags or the like, automatically.
- the machine according to the invention is advantageously inserted in the field of production and marketing of machines, plants and automatic packaging lines, for example of the vertical type ("VFFS - Vertical Form Fill and Seal”), intended to make a plurality of sealed packages, in particular by means of a flexible film, for example made of a polymeric material, and for wrapping a predefined quantity of product, both of the food and non-food type.
- VFFS Vertical Form Fill and Seal
- the machine according to the invention finds particular and specific application in the manufacture of packages equipped with at least one flexible band called "clip” or “clip-band” in the technical jargon of the sector, and intended to make a neck to close each package.
- Packaging machines for packaging products, for example of the type mentioned above, in packages of multiple types, for example of the pillow type or packages with bellows or others is known, in the technical field of reference.
- Packaging machines of the known type typically comprise a packaging unit, configured to seal the flaps of a casing of film that has been previously shaped, for example by means of a forming unit, and to cut the aforementioned flaps in such a way as to make a sealed package.
- such machines may comprise a closing unit, referred to with the term “clipping unit” in the technical jargon of the sector, and designed to affix at least one flexible strip or band around each sealed package in such a way as to create a constriction neck on the package itself.
- a closing unit referred to with the term “clipping unit” in the technical jargon of the sector, and designed to affix at least one flexible strip or band around each sealed package in such a way as to create a constriction neck on the package itself.
- the main drawback lies in the fact that the packaging machines of known type have low production speeds, or at least they are not able to meet the current production speeds of the relevant industrial sector. In fact, such machines have packaging production speeds typically not exceeding about 30-35 packages per minute. These values are therefore not suitable for the achievement of high production volumes.
- a further drawback lies in the fact that the packaging machines of known type are operationally inflexible. In fact, these machines do not allow to easily and quickly switch from a package with a predefined format (e.g. 200 grams of product) to another package having a different format (e.g. 400 grams).
- a further drawback lies in the fact that the packaging machines of known type have poor stability of the packaging material (i.e. of the flexible film) during their operation. More specifically, the packaging material tends to create creases and skids, and more generally not to remain well stretched and correctly tensioned by the functional units in charge mentioned above during the operation of the packaging machine of known type. In fact, this machine performs an operating cycle that provides for at least one step of stopping the movement of the film before sealing thereof and a subsequent restart after sealing has taken place. This creates skids and creases, as described above, of the packaging film with potential risks regarding the final quality of the sealed package.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a packaging machine that makes it possible to obviate and remedy, at least in part, the drawbacks of the aforementioned prior art.
- a further object of the present invention is to provide a packaging machine that allows to achieve a high packaging speed, in particular of the order of 55-60 packages per minute, or at least higher than that of the packaging machines of known type.
- a further object of the present invention is to provide a packaging machine that is structurally stable and reliable during its operation.
- a further object of the present invention is to provide a packaging machine that has an improved and/or alternative configuration, both in terms of construction and function, compared to the traditional known solutions.
- Document IT 202200001376 A1 discloses a vertical packaging machine provided with a vertical forming tube wrapped by a film which is configured to advance by descending downwards, pushed by special conveyors and welded in a longitudinal direction, reaching a tubular conformation and initially open at the two ends, i.e. at the lower one and at the upper one from where it comes, wherein arranged below the end of the forming tube there are units for hot sealing, crimping and cutting bags that are formed during the continuous downward advancement of the film, whilst once the lower edge is sealed, a product to be packaged and possibly a liquid preservative thereof is dropped from inside the forming tube.
- the packaging machine comprises, in vertical succession from top to bottom: a welding and cutting unit; a first mobile vertical carriage; a second mobile vertical carriage; a third vertical carriage provided with a support for a vertical guid slidingly inserted in said support of the mobile vertical carriage and parallel to the shaft; a mobile creasing device on a horizontal carriage associated with said third carriage by means of a guide, sliding horizontally and disposed orthogonally relative to said parallel shafts.
- Said first and second vertical carriages which carry the welding bars and the accessories thereof, intended for packing bags with a tie, are mobile and adjustable, i.e. mounted on guides that enable adjustment of the distances that lie, respectively, between an upper edge and a constriction of the tie and between the upper and lower edges of the package.
