Definitions

  • the invention relates to an atomizer for a fluid located in a container, with an atomizer nozzle and a housing, wherein a pump body with a first through-opening having a first opening cross-sectional area is arranged in the housing, wherein a hollow piston with a check valve and a filter element are arranged in the first through-opening, wherein a holding region is also provided for holding the filter element in a flow direction of the fluid in the first through-opening, wherein further in the flow direction after the filter element an atomizing part is arranged, which is received in an extension region of the pump body adjoining the first through-opening in the flow direction.

  • the second opening cross-sectional area can vary depending on which material is used for the filter element. Possible materials are explained in more detail below. It can, preferably, be an effective and optionally soft filter element as the sole filter element alongside the microfilter integrated in the atomization part in the nozzle area. In this case, in particular, it is a sole filter element in front of the atomization part. In such a case, it is correspondingly one-piece and is available as a one-piece filter element.
  • the second opening cross-sectional area is smaller, it is preferably also selected such that no additional, relevant flow resistance is created in relation to the largest flow resistance in the atomizing part. • the second opening cross-sectional area should preferably be at least approx. 100 times the largest assumed cross-section of the nozzle outlet in the sense of a low flow resistance, i.e. 12,000 m 2 or 0.012 mm 2 , which would correspond to a minimum diameter of the second through opening of approx. 0.12 mm. In terms of manufacturing technology, this diameter can still be easily produced by mechanical drilling or laser drilling.
