Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé comprenant l'étape consistant à mettre en contact un latex contenant de 100 ppm à 2000 ppm de 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one avec une quantité efficace de peroxyde d'hydrogène pour réduire la concentration de la 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one à moins de 50 ppm. Le procédé est utile pour fournir une manière de réduire le BIT à des niveaux sûrs avant de combiner le latex avec un produit finalement formulé.
