Abstract
L'invention concerne un système de cathéter (100) permettant de traiter un site de traitement (106) à l'intérieur ou à proximité d'un vaisseau sanguin (108), comprenant une source d'énergie (124), un guide de lumière (122) et une cible de plasma (242). Selon divers modes de réalisation, le guide de lumière (122) est alimenté par la source d'énergie (124). Le guide de lumière (122) comporte une pointe distale (244) et émet de l'énergie lumineuse (243) dans une direction opposée à la pointe distale (244). La cible de plasma (242) est espacée de la pointe distale (244) du guide de lumière (122) d'une distance d'espacement de la cible (245). La cible de plasma (242) est conçue pour recevoir de l'énergie lumineuse (243) du guide de lumière (122) pour qu'une bulle de plasma (234) soit générée sur la cible de plasma (242).
