Abstract

Water saving device applicable to conventional flushing systems of W.C. tanks, comprising a part (0) made of absorbing material with a density lower than that of water and having spongy and elastic characteristics such as foam of polyurethane, neoprene, natural sponge or any other material with similar characteristics, and having a cylindrical, prismatic or truncated configuration and traversed at the bases thereof by a straight cut (20) or various cuts forming a cross. Optionally, the part (0) can be subdivided into two parts (1, 1') which can be housed in a base (2) of appropriate size. Said part (0) is intended to be coaxially connected to the spillover tube (9) of a conventional flusher through elastic forces. The operation is as follows: as long as the part (0) is immersed under the water level, the hydrostatic force prevents generating weight onto the spillover tube (9), but when the water level goes down and the surface of the part (0) remains progressively as a consequence of a discharge said force decreases and a free weight exerted onto this spillover tube (9) increases proportionally thereby closing the discharger before the total discharge of the tank occurs.
