Abstract

1. Escudo para turbina eólica, que estando especialmente concebido para una turbina provista de un eje vertical u horizontal al que se asocian radialmente una pluralidad de aspas situadas a diferentes niveles en altura, que por la acción del viento suministran un movimiento giratorio a dicho eje, transmitido al correspondiente alternador, se caracteriza porque consiste en una pantalla laminar, que configura una especie de segmento cilíndrico, de eje de curvatura paralelo al eje motriz de la turbina y que se relaciona con este último, por sus zonas extremas, a través de sendos juegos de brazos o barras que confluyen sobre respectivos cojinetes montados con libertad de giro sobre el eje, de manera que la posición de dicha pantalla es independiente del movimiento giratorio de la turbina y viene definida por la propia dirección del viento, en función de una veleta convenientemente fijada a la zona latero-posterior de la misma, todo ello de forma que dicha pantalla actúa como un deflector que provoca una inflexión en la dirección del viento en el seno de la turbina que, incidiendo lateralmente sobre las aspas por detrás del eje de la misma potencia su rendimiento mecánico.
