1. Mecanismo para sillas de oficina que comprende: - un cuerpo básico (2) apto para ligarse, mediante un elemento de conexión (3), a un extremo superior de un montante que define el sostén vertical de una silla, - un elemento de refuerzo (4) para dicho elemento de conexión (3), solidario a dicho cuerpo básico (2), - un elemento de soporte (6) de un respaldo de la silla ligado de manera giratoria a dicho cuerpo básico (2), - un elemento de sostén (22) de un asiento de la silla montado superiormente a dicho cuerpo básico (2), - medios (7) de sostén elástico intercalados al menos entre dicho elemento de soporte (6) y dicho cuerpo básico (2), - medios (10) para bloquear selectivamente la oscilación de al menos dicho elemento de soporte (6) del respaldo con respecto a dicho cuerpo básico (2), dichos medios (10) para bloquear comprendiendo al menos una primera pluralidad de asientos de detención (11) y al menos un primer elemento de bloqueo (12) asociado a dicho elemento de soporte (6) del respaldo y que selectivamente coopera con dichos asientos de detención (11) para bloquear la oscilación del elemento de soporte (6), y - medios (17) de mando para el accionamiento de los medios (10) para bloquear la oscilación, caracterizado por el hecho de que dichos asientos de detención (11) son obtenidos en dicho elemento de refuerzo (4).
