Headlight assembly for vehicles, of the kind comprising a support member capable of being fixed to, the bodywork of a motor vehicle, a lamp unit or headlight, and adjustable means for mounting said lamp unit on said support member, said adjustable means including a nut fixed to said support member and a screw cooperating at one end with said nut and coupled, at its other end with said lamp unit, so that the rotation of said screw with respect to said nut adjusts the position of said lamp unit with respect to said support member, characterized in that said screw is coupled to said lamp unit by means of a bistable articulation having a pair of stable positions spaced apart from one another in the direction in which the lamp moves.
