Abstract
Un aro de pistón que tiene un cuerpo de metal ferroso y un recubrimiento en la cara de apoyo del aro, estando compuesto dicho recubrimiento de al menos un carburo de una sustancia del grupo que consiste en metales y metaloides refractarios, en solución con cobalto y aleados en una matriz que contiene principalmente niquel y plomo, estando libre dicho carburo de bordes y esquinas agudos, y estando dicha aleación unida al citado cuerpo a lo largo de una zona de intercara difundida, compuesta de materiales de dicha aleación y de dicho cuerpo.
