Procedimiento para la sensibilización de emulsiones fotográficas a base de halogenuro de plata haciendo uso de un sensibilizador de base en combinación con un supersensibilizador según la patente principal nº 158.624 caracterizado por el empleo combinado de colorantes estirílicos con sustancias de la fórmula general **(Ver fórmula)** en la cual: Y puede representar hidrógeno arilo alcoilo alcoileno aralcoilo Y' = arilo arilo sustituido o el resto de un núcleo heterocíclico y X = ya sea un agrupamiento cíclico llevando un agrupamiento mercapto ya sea un agrupamiento rectilíneo de la estructura siguiente ** (Ver fórmula)** en la que: X y/o X'= hidrógeno alcoilo o arilo y **(ver fórmula)** o los derivados selénicos correspondientes.
